Pink Panther No More

Well I got fed up with all the screwing around on when they were going to build the Furious Fuschia cars.
It was starting to look like the car wouldn't arrive until October or November so I told the dealer I'd take the Hemi Orange RT Classic he has already ordered. Car is currently in BA status. It will still be a wait , but hopefully they'll be some summer left when it arrives.

So it's goodbye Pink Panther and hello Great Pumpkin.

Wow, that sucks - I'm sorry, Pink. I think you made the right choice though, instead of wasting an entire summer with no car. However, if Dodge can't even get a paint scheme released in a timely fashion, I don't know that it bodes well for the reputed 2011 engine improvements.

Why wouldn't they get this color out in time for summer cruising anyways? There are not many people in the northern half of United States, or Canada that would really want to take delivery of a brand new, eagerly awaited performance car in November. That's about the time I'll be storing my R/T for the winter.

I've seen the Furious Fuchsia Challenger up close and in person. All I can say is, "Eeeek!" What a fugly color. You did good going with the Hemi Orange.

Good choice with the Hemi Orange. I think you would get tired of that pink very fast.

I settled on a PC SRT8, even though my heart was holding out for green or maybe fuchsia. Have to say I agree, I'd rather spend the summer driving, so I'm quite happy with the PC color.

HO is also a cool option, so enjoy the car!

Do You have the POC sheet? The Price Order Confirmation sheet. Look down the sheet bottom 1/4 on the left side. Where it says Order Type, Scheduling Priority, then Build Priority. If the Build Priority is 01 you will have a long wait. If the Build Priority says 99 you will have a short waiting time.

How do I know? I ordered a car that had a Build Priority of 01. That car took 9 months to get to the dealer.

The car I bought from a different dealer out of state had a Build Priority of 99. It was ordered on 3/8/09, Scheduled for build (D1) 3/16/09 7:33AM, At Facility 3/31/09 3:31AM, Built Pending Inspection (I) 3/31/09 2:23 Delivered to dealer 4/13/09

Thanks for the info DenKdo2. It is a build priority 99 and was ordered March 5.
Winnipeg Dodge is expecting it to arrive in 4 to 6 weeks.
