Anyone else doing local car shows where they live. Got the trophy I was going after in a local show today. Police Pick (most likely to chase) SWEET. The Orange BEAST lives. Have signed up for 2 more locally in October.
Guess no one else is doing any car shows, sweet, I will have them all to myself. People flock to the car.
Hey Superdave,
I wanted to enter it in some shows, but I'm working offshore , and timing wasn't right . I did have it at 2 shows, but it was ineligible for competition.
One show was called cruisin the Dub, put on by A&W restaurant, and they were supposed to supply a Challenger as part of the show. They didn't come up with one. There were 1400 other cars there, but mine was the only Challenger, and was surrounded all night.
The other was a show also featuring the Challenger. The guy operating the show asked if I would put my car in as the center draw for the show . It appeared that mine would be the only 08 there as well, but another 08 orange showed up. It worked out pretty good, because the 2 of us got set up in our own special promotional garage with an original 1970 parked between us. There was only one prize, and that was for peoples choice. It went to the 1970. You'd have to vote for the guy// his plate said "My Life".
I'm looking forward to next year though.
03HDFB won a trophy with his, and I think there were a couple more.
I'll get you next year !!
BTW, because I'm at work, I don't have all my pics here, so the only place you see the orange one is as its leaving the show in the last pic.
Yeah we do, and a regional section like warrior and a few others have been trying to push. It wouldnt be more for the mods if they just assigned someone whos been around here to locally mediate in their regions section

I did a car show last weekend, didn't initially want to let me in because it was too new, but they relented. It was cool parking across from a 1970 R/T 440-auto Challenger for comparison. In 2 weeks, there is a show in Shreveport i'm going to be in. Every other month here (Alexandria. La.) there is a show in the Albertson's parking lot. Next one is Nov.15. I've yet to see another new Challenger on the road in my area. For now, it's cool because of the exclusivity (sic?) but it would be nice later to have a couple different ones to cruise with.
Jack

Reason: spacing
Hey Steve Austin(WWF?). The show was a fund raiser at Madison H.S. about 50-60 cars, only 3 Mopars, a 73 Chally and sweet 07 Charger RT, all 3 of us won trophies. Have not been to pig stand yet on Friday nights. Go there on Sundays for the Mopar Muscle Car club meetings. Went to Fuddruckers a couple of Saturdays ago and almost got run over by some hillbilly in a monster truck (WTF) he couldn't negotiate the parking lot and almost backed up over the orange beast. It would have been ugly. The car drew a lot of attention. Have not been by Bif's on Friday nights yet.
How many folks in Mopar Muscle Car Club and can a guy from Austin get in?
Wish I could give you a number ,kinda curious myself, the meeting are the 3rd Sunday of the month at 300PM, been to 3 now (got the beast at the end of July and since I had a bonified muscle car went looking for a club to join and came across these guys. Joined the club in August) appx 20 (same 20) go to the meetings, but I know they have more members than that. This club also hooks up with another club in the valley, so I don't see any problem if you want to join. It's all about increasing membership. For more info you can go to the web site MOPAR MUSCLE CLUB OF SAN ANTONIO or contact the club pres Wes Pieper at 830-981-5383. We are putting on a Mopar only car show this Sat the 18th at Ancira Chrysler on I-10 from 1200-400
