'11 RT Cold Air Intakes

I just purchased a 2011 RT Classic (Toxic Orange w/ White Stripes) and tried to have the Mopar CAI installed at a Mopar dealer, but the 2010 Mopar CAI didn't fit! Did they really change mounting locations or adapters this year? Has anyone installed a Mopar CAI on their '11?

PS - I also installed the Mopar "old-school" carbon fiber short throw shifter. A definite must!

OHSNAP - Yeah I saw the post, but I was more looking to see what '11 owners have done to install a CAI. Good info though, Thanks!

Update!

I got ahold of MOPAR about this and finally received a response. They are done with the engineering and will be producing soon - no date was given; however, we now have a MOPAR part number #77070044!

ummm, my 2010 Mopar CAI fits just fine on my 2011, just minor adjustments in bracket placements and it will work, all i needed was to drill a small hole into plastic where a hole did not line up and put a push rivet in.

Mopar 2010 CAI WILL work on a 2011 if you're smarter than you're average dodge tech, which in your case wouldn't appear too hard.

Thanks for the info! I'm glad that it could work. I am, however, going to wait for the one designed for our 2011's.

If any of you are looking for a long tube style CAI, I just got my 2011 R/T back from stack performance where they put on their "bullet" CAI. I had to leave it for a few days so he could mock up a new bracket so it fits the 2011's but now he has the template and can make more real quick if needed.

It sounds great and throttle response is much sharper. Dunno if I picked up much HP but my MPG's went up by 2 or 3, I was avg'ing 29-30 mpg on the freeway
