I'm 41... I had a 68 383 Charger, 69 Roadrunner with a 440, 69 GTX, 70 rotted Superbird, 71 Cuda, 70 4406 GTX, 68 340 4speed GTS. I currently own a 68 340 auto GTS. I look foward to finally being able to being an original owner of a Mopar muscle car.

I'm with you, Bill. I'm 56. Now, it wasn't Mopar, but my first car was a black 67 Pontiac GTO with white interior. I still miss that one. But I'm sure I will feel like the king of the world when I drive off in my black '09 Challenger R/T with the *ahem* black interior.

Re: Average Age

Damn, am I the only wet behind the ears 20 something in here? I am 27 and I grew up loving 60's-70's era hotrods of all sorts. Big muscle car fan. I spent the high school years in a clean but tired 72 Coronet. Then I moved onto the dodge pickups of which I have had 5. All with the biggest gas motor available with all wheeldrive. My most recent I got in 05 the week after I got married. My very first new vehicle. Since then life has been good to me. We have owned a 300c AWD with the 5.7. We totaled that and decided why not go faster so we bought the same car in srt8 trim. What a blast. We recently traded it for the srt Jeep. Even more fun and classy. Gotta love the 6.1 combined with AWD. In a few days I will take delivery of my challenger and I have never been so excited in my life. It's my way of getting to be part of something many of you went through back in the glory days. I am really jealous of the people who were my age in that era. So much fun equipment at hand. Here's to Ma Mopar and all that came before me.

Re: Average Age

I just turned 28 in the past month and have always loved muscle cars. Always had a special place for Mopar as I grew up with my dad's '73 Road runner, which is now mine. used to sit at my grandfather's house in a car port and i would dream of the day I could drive it as a kid. Not only that, but growing up watching dukes of hazzard helped too.

My dad is almost as pumped as I am that I'll be getting a Challenger R/T. He said to me: "dont make the same mistake i did. get the manual and a hemi" cause all he ordered in the road runner was an auto and a 318. not that its a bad engine, just not a performer. reliable as a stone axe though and still a fun car to cruise around in.
