Blastin' Bob Resonator Eliminator consensus

So now that I've gotten enough information, and I know this is a job that can be accomplished in my driveway (I even discovered this weekend that I already had an exhaust pipe cutter already from Harbor freight )

I'm ready to order it for my six speed. So the decision is; Straight Pipe, or glasspack version; I certainly don't mind a bit more growl, and the stock sound, will nice, is quite up to 70's standards. I am inclined to go for the straight pipe solution

Pros, Cons?

I have the glasspack kit, and it is quite louder than the stock sound. At WOT it is definitely louder. There is some drone from 1700 to 2200 rpm, but it's not all that bad.

I talked to Bob, and both kits are interchangeable, so I may buy the straight pipes just to compare. Once the cuts are done it only takes 35 minutes to swap the exhaust.

I went with the glasspack version and the sound is just right.
Very mild during cruising, but roaring under heavy acceleration.

Any louder might be too much for me.

We report, you decide.

I have the straights. Awesome till 4000 rpm then it's dukes of hazard after that. lol. By no means too loud. I am in fact gonna take out the middle mufflers now as I want more growl.

At the risk of sounding stupid, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by 'till 4000 rpm, then it's Dukes of Hazzard'

hahaha. Sorry. It sounds real nice and tuned from 1000-4000 rpm. then when you go wide open past 4000 it lets out that old hemi rasp. If you have watched the new dukes of hazard movie chase scenes it sounds identical. I am 99% sure its the bottle mufflers that give it the rasp. I am not 100% if I love it or not so much. So I am gonna take out the bottles and see how she sounds. Will be louder but my prediction is that it will be more like the sounds up to the 4k mark just louder minus the rasp.

You mean after 4000 rpm some chick in tight jean shorts lays across your hood? Damn I should have got the straights!

I've got the straights...I was afraid they might be too loud inside the car before I put them on, but they are just right! Very tame when you are out of the throttle but very loud and aggressive when you step on it. There is some drone, but with the six speed you can shift around it eaisly.
