His brother was darn impressed when I ran a 13.78 and he ran a 13.68. I'll take a 1/10 loss for my 50 horsepower handicap.
Based on his time, if you wanted to beat the "Snub car" all you needed to do was drag out that nasty old Coronet or the GTS. Shame him, and go home.

while waiting at red light yesterday srt pulled up in opposing lane. He gave first nod of approval,so maybe not all are bad.

With respect to wheel hop, I have heard you can solve 99% of it just with a tire chenge to Nitto Invos. I am going to try a set on the rear next year.
13.2 @ 108 was the best I could. 2.2 60' because I couldn't stop the tires from lighting off in 1st or 2nd (even with the traction control on). Been talking to other guys with Maggie 6 speed R/T's and they all tell me don't even bother with drag radials. They all run slicks/skinnies.

hard to believe this thread is still ongoing. good and bad folks. but, If I had an SRT, I'd think all other Challenger owners wished they had bought what I had. If the SRT engine had been reasonable - 1500 to 3000 - i might have opted - but, I'd still prefer the exterior of my RT to SRT anyday.

A Challenger SRT owner checking in on this discussion with my 2-cents worth ... lol ... I have no problems with connecting with R/T owners as I feel they have the cooler Badge (R/T) ... I'm Old School in that respect.

The one problem I've noticed is with the 392 Owners. They seem to have a stick up the old A**hole. 1st flaunting their superior HP/Torque and then saying wait until they unlock the ECM.

I spent the day at Atco Dragway for the Final 2012 Hemi Shootout and both the 5.7 and 6.1 Hemis were very bright stars that day. Only one meger 392 turning 12.1/12.2 in the quarter mile. While those modded 5.7 and 6.1 ran from 8.50s to low 11s all day long.

Well said 6spd. I've said that all along. If I spent $50k+ in my RT it would be the fastest car on the planet. They can stick their nose in the air all they want. I still have my challenger and a pocket full of cash. And with about 5k$ in mods we smoke them SRTs with about 20$k in our pockets or about half.

Listen I love Challengers, all of them, even the 6 cylinder. These IMO are the coolest and most retro cars out there. Can't we all just get along?
Your not practicing what you preach. "Listen I love Challengers, all of them, even the 6 cylinder".

I think it all depends on the owner, nothing to do with the car they drive but I have had a few srt8 owners give me a little of a snubb or cold sholder like I didnt know what I was doing or talking about because I have a R/T, then I put down faster times then them at the track and it ends, I tend to just let things work themselves out. but I have plenty of friendst that own everything from srt4's to 392's but I think its all about the person as an individual and how they are. I've seen plenty of R/T individuals do the same thing to the V-6 owners too.

All you new challenger owners are all just a bunch of wannabes. Ha Ha Look at me, I have a Challenger. It's not a real Challenger, but it is a copy. Ha Ha Ha Now maybe I can fit in with the guys with cool cars.. Then you have the nerve to try to snub each other?

You make me laugh...

This all reminds me of when I saw two VW rabbits have a drag race. I thought to myself that it was silly to even worry about which VW was faster. I guess that in their little world, they where cool. Still, too funny.

Do you people think about what you are writing? Can you hear yourselves?
