Re: Huge.. lack of aftermarket goodness for our 5.7s?

It's just going to take a little time, especially since the Challenger is only a couple of months old. There are still lots of manufacturers that are trying to get cars for research and see which parts from a Charger will work etc. The SEMA show should have plenty of new products displayed for the SE, R/T and SRT8's. I am looking forward to seeing Classic Design Concepts shaker hood as well. They make great products as we have been selling their Mustang stuff for years.

Re: Huge.. lack of aftermarket goodness for our 5.7s?

There's definately going to be a lot more manufacturers who never thought twice about doing parts up for the 4-door HEMI's working to get parts out for these Challengers. The market, too, will be a little bit more flooded with mediocre parts.

There's a lot of great parts already on the market that fit the 6.1L and soon the 5.7L Challenger, and a lot more will follow. The problem is that it is usually hard to sift through the parts and the information that's all over the web to actually put together the best package of parts that will work well together. Unfortunately, nothing replaces experience with these HEMI cars, my proof being the cars that come to HHP to get "fixed" after other shops sell the customer the world and can't get the cars to run. One example: any shop that sells Comp Cams valve springs is a shop that has never installed them on a head and cam hemi that made any power. These springs are the leading cause of engine failure from aftermarket engine parts. Just take a look and you will find these springs advertised on a lot of websites saying they know the HEMI. Apparently they don't, lol.

Joshua, HHP

Re: Huge.. lack of aftermarket goodness for our 5.7s?

To answer one of my own questions, I have finally found the wheels that I want for my Challenger.

Look at those! Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to slam 10" rears back there without messing anything up.

Re: Huge.. lack of aftermarket goodness for our 5.7s?

Josh, has excellent points as usual.

We have just had the opportunity to have a Challenger in our shop and we are buttoning it up here tonight.

Most of our stuff is dress up, but here is what we will have right out of the gate here in the next few weeks.

True replacement Ram hood emblems (we will customize them if you have something specific in mind).

T-Handle angled shaft
T-Handle straight shaft.
2 Styles of Pistol grips.
Window switch kit and mirror control kit
Radio kits, both 2 pc and My-Gig
AC knob kits
Lumbar Kits
Power Seat Covers
Full 3.5, 5.7 and 6.1 Engine compartment caps and covers.
Catch cans to fit all engines 3.5, 5.7 and 6.1's.
Custom Center Wheel Center caps factory wheels only. We will build sets for aftermarket rims. You will need to call us for details.

To follow shorlty thereafter:

Shift bezel inserts
Shift bezel surround piece
window switch surrounds with custom engraves
Custom sill plates

And god knows what else these guys today. I know Neal was on the CMM all day measuring and drawing prints.

HHP is a fine resaler of our products too so you can keep checking with us and with Josh and we are here for you all too.

Re: Huge.. lack of aftermarket goodness for our 5.7s?

I'm very interested in the custom wheel center caps, and the Ram replacement emblems. Will you have leather-like seat covers? To cover cloth seats?

stock srt-8 wheels are 9". aftermarket 10" on the right offset shouldn't be a problem.
