RT Classic 0-60 Times

Hello ervyone.

I have a 2012 Challenger RT Classic 6M
Mods:
Flowmaster AT Catback
Airraid CAI no Oiled
Pull yesterday Fuse No. 2
GPL System

Load was i and my Wife may be 200 KG with the GPL System

I am a littel bit dissapontet of my/car performace 0-60.
I try a lot of pulls 0-60 but my time is still over 6s 7s
I see some videos on youtube where a 12 rt make in 4.xx to 60 or 5.xx secounds.

I try today some pulls on a dry flat street it was 30 degree
100 meter over see level.
Traction Controll OFF
The street surface was new so it has grip.
Car was running on 98 Oct/ 93 Oct US Standart no GPL.

First Pull i rev to 2000 RPM let the clutch come and have some wheelspin and miss the 3rd gear
7,40 sec 0-60

Sec Pull Rev 1600 RPM let the clutch come and the car starts the RPM drop down and the car slowdown. Then it accelerate
0-60 7,14 sec

3rd Pull
Rev to 1900-2000 RPM let the clutch come and have some wheelspin
0-60 6,80 sec.

One Month ago i try a lot more and it was still in the high 6 sec.

On the Carsites i read 5 sec for the RT i get crazy.
Or is it because of the 3.92 Rear Ratio that i have to shift in the 3rd gear to reach 60mph?
Does the normal RT get 60 in the 2nd gear.

Maybe you can post your Numbers or Help me if something went wrong

Thanks
Kanae

Best I can get is a 5.73 0-60
I know the car can do better by me and the crap tires I have are holding the
time back.

Cheers KayTar! How many miles are on your Challenger? Seems like people are getting a performance increase after their cars are broken in a bit.

I have a 2010 r/t 6-speed. I just put in a Aeroforce Interceptor gauge (it measures 0-60 & 1/4 mile times as well as tons of other things)

I've only tried it four times. My best 0-60 blast so far was 5.56 on a slight incline at sea level - aprox 73 degrees Fahrenheit. My goal is to get to 4.XX.

Mine is stock except for MOPAR CAI and I run 5.63 to 5.90 0-60 per the EVIC. I am not launching hard at all. I disable traction control. I'm an old man so my reflexes are not what they used to be! I know the car can do better.

Ditto... on a flat stretch, I'm consistently in the 5.6's to 5.8's with my best being 5.63. I can probably do a little better than that, but not much. Best times have come shifting around 5300-5500 and launching at 1800 RPM.

If the ethanol is the light end of the fuel, maybe we could have a metal pot sitting over an open fire, and pour gas in the pot and let the fire heat it up until the ethanol cooks off

Kanae,

how many miles on your car?
I have a 2012 rt 6sp with 2500 miles on it. Bone stock, with a 1/4 tank of gas or less I run 5.66 to 5.9 on flat surfaces 85 degrees & traction control on.
Launch around 1800, ease the clutch quickly but do not dump.
wheels will slip but not spin.
Wind out 1st & 2nd to 5100 rpms (if your spark retards, you went too far).
You must hit 3rd gear quickly... second will only take you up to 57/58 mph.
I have also tried 'power shifting', leaving the gas to the floor between 1st to 2nd & 2nd to 3rd shifts with mixed results (1st to 2nd usually will spin a bit more).

She didn't break the into the 5s until approx 2000 miles on the engine.

Hope that helps...

I have a completley stock 12 base R/T 6m, last saturday night it cooled down into the 60's. I used the timer for the first time and got a best of 5.31.

I do not use third gear as the car has 3.73, I slipped the clutch from 2000 rpm but still spun just a bit. The car has 3400 miles. TC was full off.

I also got it to run a 13.9 quarter a few weeks back. I am disapointed with the times. Drag radials are the first thing I will add to this car.

I have a bone stock 2011 R/T Classic 6spd and my best is a 4.79. Started off at a 5.4 and once I figured out my launch, slowly whittled it down below 5. I leave traction control on and don't launch very hard.
