Re: RT Classic B5 Blue

Below is a snippet from Exchange New Car Sales (Military Car Sales). The salesman I've been working with just sent it to me. I asked him if he's heard anything on the SRT8 Spring Special, so I'll let you know if I hear something.

Joe

Challenger R/T Classic Edition!

Many of you have been asking about the Special Edition Challengers and B5 Blue. Here’s the deal: The Challenger R/T Classic Edition will be available for ordering, in both manual and automatic, in the next MQII release scheduled for January 30, 2009. At this time, there appear to be NO allocation restrictions on this vehicle. MilQuote will show the LCDP22 model code with a special MEG for this vehicle: RTCL and it will say, “Classic” in the MQII Selection Menu. Any overseas charges for this vehicle would be the same as the standard R/T model. HOWEVER, the Challenger R/T Classic Edition will NOT be available in B5 Blue until sometime in late February.

The B5 Blue edition will be limited to just 2000 units for the U. S. An announcement will be made once this vehicle is available for ordering. There is NO guarantee that we will get an allotment of this vehicle and all orders will be placed on a “best efforts” basis.

The codes below are those colors available for ordering in the next MQII release:

PLC-Hemi Orange Pearl Coat (extra cost $221)
PR3-Torred (extra cost $221)
PS2-Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat
PW1-Stone White Clear Coat
PXR-Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat

So the Spring Special will be 2000 units only? Or the B5 Blue Classice will be?

I took it to be 2000 units for the R/T Classic. I also believe the "Spring Special" only relates to the SRT, but I could be wrong.

That is correct. The Spring Special is the SRT-8 in B5 Blue.

Re: RT Classic B5 Blue

Dodge's website still isn't updated with info on ordering the RT Classic. Plus, every time I try to put my zip code in for deals it just keeps asking me to put in my zipcode again. Some purchasing/lease page comes up for a second and then it asks for my zipcode. I'm really getting annoyed with their *)@(*&^$ site...and lack of information.

Re: RT Classic B5 Blue

I emailed them to ask when they would update their website to include the R/T classic for the build your own and the reply I got said that Chrysler hasn't made any decision when. Well.....no $hit.
Great non-answer to my question.

Re: RT Classic B5 Blue

Thisn is not rocket science--simple equation!

"If everyone is going to eat--then someone has to sell!!"

I'd make what sells and what I had orders for and turn that into cash!! If I couls sell 10,000 blue cars--guess what? I would make and sell them!
Anyone worth their pay who has been in sales understands that--what is their excuse??
