Top Speed

Anyone know what the top speed of our Challenger R/T is? I've heard about 160 but I don't think that's accurate.

I've read that it tops off at about 140 unless you have a tune. Never tried myself so cant say for sure.

The factory limit on mine is 166 mph, I dynoed in 3rd 125 mph @6200 rpm.The fastest I've gone on a public road is 88 mph with Mds on.Traffic forced me to slow down...Another poster said he reached 100 mph, Mds on.

152 on the dyno, that was a 4th gear pull letting off when she shifted up into 5th around 6500 rpm. Of course this is without any aerodynamic affects or actually moving. I have to admit, I don't have the stones to do that anywhere else.

At the Mojave Mile I ran a 150.2 MPH in the standing mile and that is a record for a 5.7 N/A Hemi.

Thats a good speed in a NA 5.7. In May @ the Texas mile there was a RT there running a very consitant 140+ in mile. Congrats on braking the 150 MPH in a standing mile barrier.

Thank you very much. The engine is 100% stock. I'm running a 87mm TB, Corsa cat back, Airaid CAI, 93 OCT tune. 103 VP race fuel and tires at 55psi. I had two runs over 150 MPH most runs were between 148.0-149.2 MPH.
