What size diff is in the R/T auto?

Whew I have been searching and searching. I have read they are 210mm, I have read they are 215mm. I called my dealer.. the tech couldn't look it up from the VIN.

Does anyone know what size diff is in the R/T auto?
I emailed Richmond Gear and they replied:

"Re:to answer your question about the '09.We are looking at the possibilities but nothing firm at this time.

Thank You."

Guess that answers it. :|

Are you trying to put an LSD in the rear?

Its bigger than that I think, the put 200 mm rears in 4 cylinder Nissans, doubt they would handle a V8 in a 2 ton car. I think the rears are a little over 8.8 inches, what ever that is in mm.

200mm is about 8"
220mm is about 8.8"

Re: What size diff is in the R/T auto?

Ah, okay. Thank you. I was just wondering about changing the gear out on the rear, but I think that honestly the 3.06 is fine for cruising and gonna stick with that for a while until it is clear if any manufacturer is going to make after market gears for the Challenger. I am sure it will happen sooner or later.. really just happy to have a challenger!

There is post on the forum regarding this. Want to say it is 215mm in the R/T, was posted about a month ago.
