They did the same in the ram trucks |

Re: Who's getting 20" Wheels?
The tire size used on the 20"s is about .58 inches taller than the tires they are using the on 18" wheels.
The 235/55-18's are about 28.1 inches high. The 245/45-20's are 28.68 inches high. That .58 inches in taller tire height negates the use of the shorter gears in the 20" application. |

Re: Who's getting 20" Wheels?
I got the 20" because of the look of the rims, I do not like the look of the 18's. I prefer the heritage rims the best but as I didn't want to wait, I went with the 20's.

the bigger brakes would be worth it alone. what is the cost of the 20"s? $1200 or so?

Here is some information courtesy of a neat program called GearCalc. I punched in all the gear information available at allpar.com and used tire sizes from dodge.com and this is what came up.

Re: Who's getting 20" Wheels?
I personally plan on using the SRT8 wheels if I can find some second-hand. I don't want the R/T 20's. They look..exactly like the 18"s, plus 2 inches. :P No style.

Re: Who's getting 20" Wheels?
I agree. I am not a big fan of the available wheels for the R/T and I am not usually one to put aftermarket wheels on my cars.
