As I think we all do, I have been looking for ways to upgrade the performance of my 2015 SXT Plus. I have seen some stroker kits for the old 3.5L v6. However I can't seem find any for the 3.6L Pentastar. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a stroker kit for the 3.6L Pentastar, knows anyone who has stroked their pentastar, or if it is even possible?
really anything is possible if you have deep enough pockets, custom pistons, crank and rods could be done, pretty much one off deal.
Figured if I ever blow up my liitle v6 I would get the newer higher compression long block they have stuck in the jeeps. Before I install that engine pull the heads and port them and enjoy maybe another 30-40 hp or so over the "older" 3.6
I'm enjoying the extra power I have now from my mods that I have done on the intake side and exhaust side, haven't changed the weight of the car any from baseline and have increased the trap speed from 93 to 99, getting real close to breaking the 100 mph mark have dropped over 1 second off the 1/4 mile time.
When my car was new with 255 miles on the clock for the life of me I couldn't break into the 14's even on a low DA day in 50 degree weather.
Thanks for the feedback! I kinda figured that the only way was a custom, one off deal. Once my warranty runs out, maybe i'll talk to a local shop about it. I'm also looking into some superchargers for her later on down the road. Just thought a stroker 3.6 would have been cool
Summit racing doesnt show any. However Scat crankshaft makes a rotating kit for the 3.6 jeeps. I emailed them about it and asked if they have any for the challengers and if they have any forged options as well. I'm waiting on their response. But like Red said, deep enough pockets you can always have someone make a one off kit for you.
Agreed. I know this is an old thread, but I haven't heard of anyone having a 3.6 stroker motor. If you are after HP, the 5.7 engine would be a better choice to modify.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
