Installing UConnect

I have a question about installing this. The factory head unit has the buttons on it, but when pushed it says the feature isn't installed. Would the following item complete the install?

08-09 UCONNECT HANDS FREE CELLULAR SYSTEM, CHALLENGER CHALLENGER

Also would the call go through the stereo speakers?

The U-Connect has to install with your bluetooth phone, so you have to get the two talking to each other. Mine installed right away and I was able to upload my entire phonebook into the U-Connect (takes a while and is somewhat touchy). Once installed, the calls will interrupt any music playing and play through the center / front speaker....

I'm not satisfied with it. The Kenwood bluetooth was static, sound wasn't very good through the amps. I played with the crossovers and even turned them off. The four speakers still were missing midbass.

Today I plugged in my factory 276 watt amp and stock HU and it sounds better than running the three Rockford amps. Initially I was going to keep the Navi without the amps but the wiring for the speakers don't match the factory harness when using the amp. I ended up removing the whole system minus the speakers today.

I'll most likely sell everything and just keep the stock HU.

I have the 3G iPhone. Heard any compatability issues with them?

My car doesn't have a front/center speaker. I can install one but how does it tie into the Uconnect?

That sucks, maybe try some different equipment next time around. What harness do you have? They have ones for aftermarket radio and you still get to use the factory amp.

Sorry, I have the 376 watt 7 speaker system and the phonecalls are played through one of the front speakers...sounds like the center...With your system, it probably plays through a different speaker. If you had another system in before???,did the dealer install this one? Maybe theres a programming step that the dealer needs to perform.????

I was using the Peripheral CHYAH06. It has the 8 front/rear speaker wires but the car harness only had 4 wires that went to the factory amp so they didn't match up. I couldn't get any sound through the factory amp with the Kenwood DNX 7100.

Is there another harness that would allow the navi to run through this amp?
