I am starting to narrow in on my Challenger. Looking at a 13 and a 14. Both very low miles and both are the SRT8 and m6. I have been able to resolve most of my concerns to this point. My hang up now is the shifter, I cannot stand the pistol grip shifter. I prefer a simple knob, maybe even a t handle.
I would love to see, for those of you who changed yours, what did you change too and how do you like it?

I think it might be a bit more comfortable if you unroll that boot. Mine was like that too and drove me nuts. Took a bit of effort but finally got it to unroll.
Sorry, that was my attempt at humor. ME as in 'me', because I made it myself, to fit up to the Barton shifter.
The silver color you see on the lever is Polydyn's Teflon coating which is near-unscratchable and since it is a thermal coating it also takes away the cold feel of raw aluminum.
Since then I had a good talk with the Barton shifter rep at the Lone Star meet and they are now offering a flat stick (non-pistol grip) with an adjustable base such as shown below. This means you could make your own stick pretty easily, to your liking, because the difficulty/time to do so has dropped way down. I asked if the elimination of all the damping at the stick/base would cause issues with vibration and was told 'no'. In fact, Barton has eliminated most of the rubber o-rings on their newer design as they found the damping they do within the shifter itself to be adequate.
I'll probably buy an adjustable base and make a few more shifter levers to try out different ideas.
