The adaptor is more for looks, the shift ball has a tiny set screw in the front of it.

The shine is almost blinding. I just got the Pistol Grip Shifter like the old Hurst shifters were. I customized mine to have solid Black Walnut cut to my hand.

Yes it was the polished, i will tell i already returned it was s nice piece, but felt small. I got the mopar t handle and have been much happier with it.
