ooohhhh, ok.

sorry guys, i blame my lack of knowledge for that silly question.

i didn't know the piping had a "lip" on it.

i thought it was just piping. so yeah, now that i see the picture, i see how the "lips" allow for the wedging.

Yeah I added the side view to show the lip and he is right I've had to trim the lip in some spots or on the bends it helps too. I'm at work on my phone but ill be able to respond better later with better pictures too almost done with the measurements.

eBay is the best place, I have yet to find anywhere else that has the piping thin enough. In some spaces I wish they offered something a little thinner too.

I Gotta say though...if you do this, I recommend you START around the lighter, instead of ending there. Cause that one part can be a bit of a bitch!

I found it hard to get the tubing around the radio, what was your technique?

I ordered 5 yards for around 20ish bucks, can't complain with that at all! Before I order the white, I'm still measuring exactly how much I need. Are you aware how many feet you needed around the radio at all?

it looks good, how hard was the radio space for you?

After measuring, and adding a few inches to each measurement for "mistakes" I ordered 12 yards of the gray.

The 12 yards will cover from front to back:

- Front trim by the front window and the side windows
- Trim around the over head lights
- Trim around the radio bezel
- Trim in the driver and passenger Doors
- Trim on the roof liner from the window to the rear window, plus the small bend up
- Trim in the side of the back seat arm rests
- Trim around the bezel of the 3rd brake light

After all of that, you will still have around a yard left for mistakes, or at least 2 feet or so. That is if you cut everything perfectly with no mistakes. 12 yards is the most you can purchase without paying more for shipping.

I'm leaving for vacation Friday, I'll post measurements for each piece as well as the way I installed them (slices and trimming) before I do my final install.

Like I said, you want to START around the lighter. Actually, I think I started about an inch or two to the left of the lighter, and then went towards the lighter.

I also aim the edge back at me. I'm trying to think of how to describe this with words...and all I can think of is how in old movies, the tough country guy would be cutting an apple in his hand...with the blade facing them, and cut the apple towards their thumb? haha

Anyways...piping away from you in the crevice under the console, the lip pointing at you...then slide it up under, towards you.

If you can get it in around the lighter, the rest is a breeze..just go slow. Again, start slightly to one side of the lighter and then go towards it.

That probably didn't help. ahhaa. hard to describe.
