I'm probably going to get a set of the Weathertech front floor mats but wanted a quick survey of those that have bought them. How do you like them and would you buy them again?
I've bought them for every car I've had to drive in winter the last couple years. Wouldn't buy anything else. Fit is dead on and they really a save a bunch of work scrubbing the salt stains out if you live in an area that deals with it
I will never own anything else, the Weather Techs floorliners are a perfect fit. I even have the trunk liner in my Scat, so I don't have to worry about throwing my clubs in after a rainy day.
Front ones are great as well as the trunk liner.
The ones for the back seat are much smaller and do move around a bit as people rotate their feet to get in/out of the car.
I have the same set-up. Solid in front and rubbery in the rear floor and trunk. It it does move around in the rear floor a tiny bit. Still, everything was dry and contained following the last snowfall transporting the kids. Trunk mat is like a magnet for grocery bags - they just don't fall; or maybe it's my suspension? Yeah, the mats are great.
This post got me interested in getting them as I've already taken my floor mats to the car wash once this year and they already need cleaned again. But, Weathertech's website says they aren't available for the 2015 models yet.
In New England you never know what the weather will be. Sand, salt, slush, and snow come off my shoes and end up on my weathertech liners instead of the rug. I have them in all of my vehicles. When I sell them, the original floor mats are literally like brand new. Shows the buyer you take care of your car and it's nice not to have to make excuses as to why your interior's trashed.
well when you got 3 cars & they are in all 3 says something. first mod i did on my challenger when bought from my friend & he had the real nice challenger mats. only time they come out of the sho is for a show & probably wouldn't need to do then, but real anal about details for shows.
They fit perfectly and for a product that errs on the side of function vs. form they look fine. But at $127, they are kind of crazy priced for a plastic shell. I guess "digitalFit" is worth something :nerd:
While swapping them in for the factory mats, I was surprised to see how much the rubber nubs on the back of my driver mat have worn in less three months. The nubs directly under where my right heel rests are basically gone.
I just bought husky liner mats for my dart. Anyone have any experience with both brands that can compare? Couldn't find many reviews…
My wife has Husky mats in her 4runner and they are nice. I have Weathertech in the challenger. She thinks Weathertech is better. I like both, but Weathertech fits a little better.
Have the Weather-tech Digital fit in my Ram front and back.
I have the Husky in the Jeep front and back. I did order and receive the Weather-Techs for the Jeep, but the shop that did my lift had a set of Husky's that he made a deal I couldn't refuse to get them out of the shop.
The Weather-techs came a little later, so I sold them for what I had paid since they were new and never used.
I like the Weather-Tech's better.
The Husky's are cheaper, a little more flex, a little lower cut on the dog house over the Transmission bell housing. This isn't really a great thing when removing them when there is dirt or sand in them. You have to be a little more careful so it doesn't fold and spill on the carpet.
The Husky's are more like a rubber finish with a diamond plate like raised finish and Weather-Techs are more to the thin plastic side with a smooth finish.
The Weather-Tech's, being thinner, and more ridged also run towards the sill. They have a little lip that's suppose to let the water run to the sill and out the door. Being a little more stiff means I can concentrate on getting them out without worrying about them folding in half. It does make them a little harder to install, but it's no big deal.
The Weather-Tech's are also a little higher on the dog house. Right where your foot might rest to the side of the gas peddle. I'd like them to both be higher.
Weather-Tech is more of a tray and Husky more of a mat for a lack of a better term.
Both are pretty good and do what you need. Don't buy them from the local NAPA/ Auto zone. The mark up was crazy. I bought directly from Weather-Tech both times. Saved $139.00. That was the mark up for fronts and backs together for my Ram CC Truck.
If you already have the Husky's, there's really no reason to replace them unless you want a more, less rugged look. If your looking to buy once and be happy.... just go to the Weather-Techs.
They fit great, clean up nicer, sit higher on the dog house, easier to keep crap in when removing.
I think we have different Husky's, mine sit really high around the edges, impossible to spill anything, more rigid, very lightweight plastic. $100 shipped for all mats.
Just ordered "DigitalFit" FloorLiners (both front and rear) from WeatherTech for $187.90 shipped. Don't know how much, if ever, I'll need the rear ones as it will be very rare that more than one passenger will ride in my car at one time anyway. But, this way I'll always have them just in case. I'm guessing that I'll end up leaving the front ones in year-round.
I was sold on Weathertech (purchased them for 4 cars) until I decided to try the Husky Weatherbeaters. They have a little more rubbery feel and less slippery than the Weathertechs.
