Was wondering where all you gun toting individuals keep you weapon inside your car where it is available if you need it?
The interior challenger 2015 design doesn't give me very much options like my other vehicles do. The center console is small and a pain to get to if you need it. The glove box is too far away, and the side panel is too small for my Glock 19 Gen 4. Any ideas ? Plus i'm in LEO and with the ways things are going in our society, its a good have a weapon at all times. Thanks
I can't seem to find "under the seat" in my Challenger. There is too much stuff under there! I have not had the car for long so I have not experimented much but it seems really cramped.
It is a small lock box that is tethered to the seat anchors via a braided steel cable. It will snugly fit underneath the seat in my Challenger. Consider it for temporary storage if you need to run in somewhere that is a gun-free zone.
I bought one damned if I can find any good attachment points under the seat to make it work. Anybody get one of these to work? How did you do it? Would like to see some close up pics!
Look up Foxx holsters (Amazon and others sell them). They are comfortable while in a car. Carried on the job for years and couldn't just take it off and throw in the glove box so we went thru many holster combinations to find a comfortable fit. For long long trips, I agree with a shoulder holster.
If your doing it right, your backup should be in the center console and your primary should be on your body
I use a paddle holster which will move on your pant's waistband easily once you are seated. If on a longer trip, I sometimes remove the gun (and holster) and place it in the lower pocket of the door. Note - Before opening the door, remove the gun since the pocket is not very deep. I agree with FlyingMonkey, a weak side cross draw does offer the fastest draw when seated in a vehicle.
There is a great place to store your firearm in the Challenger, but I really don't like the idea of posting this on the internet that some jackwagon will find. If you want to know, PM me. I won't reply unless you have at least 50 posts. That's so I know you are a regular forum member, and not some clown looking to grab guns.
