Best car cover for the job?

From personal experience, can someone recommend the best cover to protect the vehicle from impact, dings etc... In the future my car might have to sleep next to other cars and I'm worried that other people will hit my car when they open their doors. I did the search, but did not find a thread related to this situation. Thanks.

I have the Mopar car cover. It pretty thick and easy to put on by yourself. Custom fitted for the Challenger with the word "Challenger" on the front and a clear vinyl window in the rear for the license plate to show through. I don't think it's thick enough to stop a hard door ding though. I'm not sure any car cover is.

If you're wanting to prevent damage you're going to need a car bubble. I had one for years, there's nothing better for protection, plus they keep the car nice and clean while it's in storage. I can't remember who makes them...just google car bubble.

I use a custom fitted cover made by Covercraft. They're one of the oldest and largest car cover manufacturers. They make covers out of several different fabrics but try one made of technalon. It offers enough protection to guard against minor door dings etc. But if someone bangs a car door against your car hard enough, nothing will protect your car aginst that. Technalon is breathable so that rain will bead off the top and evaporate out from underneath, almost like Goretex.

to cover or not to cover.....

I bought a NOAH cover for my Chally and use it when I am done driving each day because I do not have a garage.
Recently someone told me its actually worse to put on and take off the cover each day because if its not completely clean and dry it can scratch the paint. He said its actually better to leave it uncovered. Any thoughts? The thought of leaving it uncovered all the time and overnight make me cringe!
I also am not the person who has time everyday to dry wash the car.
Any input, advice, thoughts??
Thanks guy!

that's rubbish.
just use care, as I'm sure you do, when taking it on and off.
The UV protection alone the cover affords will outweigh any potential minor scratches

I have a black Challenger and I get scratches from just looking at it funny. I recently had the neighbors cat try to jump up the side of the car and missed but clawed down the body trying to get a grip. It all buffed out. You'd be surprised at what you can buff out. No worries.
