I am not sure if this is sap or mold or what....

Need advice from the experts on how to clean it but not harm the rubber.

the dealer just installed a new weatherstrip for the window but this is directly above it.
You can see the new rubber is all warped as well...

Thanks in advance.

Not sure what it is but it seems any quality rubber dressing would be a good place to start, and then take the car back to whatever hack installed that seal and tell them to fix their sloppy work.

This post brings up a good point. Now that winter is headed this way, its a good idea to treat all of the weather stripping and rubber parts on our cars before the first freeze sets in. Some guys have problems with the windows getting stuck.

Good point! Get some dressing up inside that weatherstripping.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

I have some 303 i can put on it.
Should i clean it with dawn first or will the Areospace clean as well as protect?

The bad window seal was a dealer warranty install.
They are ordering another one and hopefully that one will go on better....
