So I decided to detail my interior yesterday and have always had poor results with cleaning the glass so I picked up a bottle of Invisible Glass figuring it was kind of super glass cleaner.
So when I get it home I read the instructions which go on to say spray it on and wipe it off... pretty basic stuff. But then I read the next sentence which says if you need additional cleaning "Use two or more additional applications"! WTF?! You can get the same results with Windex if you use three or more applications!
Regardless, this stuff is no miracle cure for dirty glass not to mention that it's almost impossible to reach every part of the windshield and rear window once let alone multiple times. Very dissatisfied.
So what do you use to clean the glass on your car?
I've been using Griot's Garage Window Cleaner & Micro Fiber Glass Cleaning Cloths. Does a nice job. Sometimes I go over it a second time if there looks like there's any streaks.
Adam's glass cleaner and I also use their glass cleaning micro fiber. I've yet to find something that works better. I use it on all the glass in my house to. One application is all you'll need.
Car shampoo and a rinse for road grime and grit. Clean plastic scraper if bugs. Hard water here. So then comes vinegar and water. Sometimes Griot's is helpful once there are no water spots. Always requires Elbow Grease®
Last tip I can give is to have your finish towel barely damp. Wet, too damp or completely dry just aren't the same.
Invisible Glass works for me, and works really well.
I use microfiber towels to clean the glass with it and it does not leave streaks like Windex and some other household products .The Invisible Glass as nothing to do with you not being able to reach down into the base of the windshield to reach all the crevices etc. that's just the way it is --- small area and a steeply raked windshield/rear window does that. You can`t reach the base of the windshield with Windex either.....
Invisible Glass does make a triangular tool that you put a microfiber towel on it and it allows you to reach the base of the windshield and hard to reach areas with..............

I know that. I was only pointing out that it's hard enough to reach it once let alone 3 or more times. Think I'll invest in one of those tools. Good idea.
Sprayway - ammonia free and newspaper for auto & home $2.29 @ home depot (safe on tint)
I notice that microfiber leaves fine lint on glass. I also use Sprayway stainless cleaner on my kitchen appliances with excellent results and I tried many SS cleaners even 3M
I've always had great results with Invisible Glass.
For the hard to reach spots, I use the little microfiber windshield tool, that As Seen On TV piece. They were advertised for $9.99 plus shipping but my local Menards has them a couple times per year for $1 and I stock up.
Actually, I have used Invisible Glass for years and love it. I am SUPER anal about having clean glass and use a 100% cotton face cloth for the initial cleaning and then a 100% cotton hand towel to buff out any streaks. Has worked great for me.
I wash mine like every 100 miles driven. Always carry a can of invisible spray and a MF towel in the trunk. The triangle pivot handled cleaner tool is a great back saver. Every time I go anywhere seems I wash the windows.
I use towels by color for specific things. One for glass, one for trims and aerospace 303 stuffs, one for wheels, one for body. Seems most important thing for glass is a clean lint-free towel to me.

1 pass with water & vinegar in a spray bottle wipe with a microfiber towel. 2nd pass with invisible glass with Scotts special glass towels that do not have the oils that contribute to streaking. Do cleaning only in shade with cool windows, not at night and only if you are sober.... News papers sort of work but leave your hands dirty with ink (avoid color ink) and the black ink can end up on your window if you rub too hard....
50/50 mix of distilled water and denatured alcohol. If you have water spots you can add some white vinegar. And with any solution you might need to make a few passes
All those products work, but the towel is what makes a difference to me. I've not had good luck with the microfiber "glass cleaning" towels. I use 100% cotton towels - usually old soft worn ones (as mentioned above). I kind of buff the glass until it's dry. That never leaves streaks. If the windshield is full of bugs (like 90% of the time here in Texas), I wipe it down with a water soaked towel or wash mit first, then finish with a few sprays of Invisible Glass and the cotton towel.
