Suggestions on a good chrome wheel protectant/sealant..

Well, it's been raining here in northern jersey for about two weeks straight and the chrome lips on my wheels are really taking a beating. I already have Mothers Metal Polish but I am really looking for a way to protect my wheels from the rain. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I would use metal polish only when needed as they are all abrasive. That said, Flitz is the best polish I have ever used and can polish to a mirror shine. I would use nothing else. It leaves some protection behind when buffed off. But there is no substitute for a good coat of wax on chrome wheels.

Agreed, using a good wax will protect the chrome-clad wheels, keeping them cleaner longer. My favorite is Klasse All-In-One, a synthetic polish, available from several online vendors.

What about the forged aluminum wheels on the Classics? I am looking for something to bring out a little more shine. These may be clearcoated. Any Help???

i use fk1 2180 on my chrome rims ... amazing stuff

Ultra Poly Wipe Sealant(Anti-Static)- OEM Approved
2180 Ultra Seal a sealant for use on all finishes, is a blend of anti corrosive, detergent resistant polydimethylsiloxane copolymers, which provide the finish with a high glossed protective film that gives intensive wear and great resistance to heat and water. 2180 removes surface accumulation and oxidation while penetrating and sealing the pores of the paint, giving great depth and trueness of color. This along with high melt resins offers prolonged surface protection and resistance to the elements, UV, oxidation and detergents for months of maintenance free appearance driving pleasure. Excellent for use on paint, fiber glass, gel coat, glass and chrome surfaces

Finish Kare FK1 Consumer Detailing Products
