Are there any engine adjustments that need to be made when you change to this system?

Re: AIRAID Intake System For 2008 6.1L Dodge Challenger SRT8

David,

Is the 1,500 cfm air flow with the stock 6.1 throttle body or a larger one?

Hello jandiet,

The AIRAID Intake does not require any adjustments be made to the engine.

You just bolt in on and your all ready to go. There is no calibration or tuning required.

Any other questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
David

Hello Cuda340,

The AIRAID system was tested with the stock throttle body. Our system was designed and tested on a stock engine.

Even with the increase in airflow that a larger throttle body will produce, our system will still flow more than enough air. The only problem I can see with the aftermarket larger throttle body is if the outside diameter is larger and then our coupler may not fit, but if it's the inside diameter, then there should not be any fitment issues at all.

Our AIRAID Intake with our 1500 cfm filter will flow about 4x the 6.1L engine requirements, so even if you added cylinder heads, camshaft, larger TB, and full exhaust, our AIRAID system will still flow more than enough air for the 6.1L engine

Any other questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
David

Re: AIRAID Intake System For 2008 6.1L Dodge Challenger SRT8

Hi David,

When will your CAI be available for the 5.7 R/T? Would this work with a throttle body spacer and will you offer that as well?

BTW, I use both of these (your products) on my '04 Nissan 3.3 crew cab and have been pleased with all aspects.

Best regards, Bruce

Re: AIRAID Intake System For 2008 6.1L Dodge Challenger SRT8

Hello Bruce,

I am glad to hear your happy with your current AIRAID setup.

Our AIRAID Part # 350-199 should work on the 2009 5.7L R/T. We have not had the chance to test fit one as of yet, But I do not see why it would not bolt right up as it is the same LX platform.

We have a spacer for the 6.1L Challenger, and again have not had the chance to test fit yet on the 5.7L, but part # 350-532 should work on the 5.7L as well.

As soon as we get a chance to test fit our system on the 5.7L, I will make a post and let all the members know.

Thanks,
David
