08 as Daily Driver or Weekender?

For those of you with 08 models (the limited editions), what's your driving style with it?

Do you use it as a daily driver?

Do you use it as an evening/weekend car?

Do you keep it in a glass case so it stays pristine?

In short, how concerned are you about its status as a "limited edition" and its future resale value / collectors value, versus enjoying it now?

Re: 08 as Daily Driver or Weekender?

My Charger SRT is my daily driver, and has almost 30k miles in less than 2 years. If I got a Challenger, it would probably replace the Charger.

Are you considered a bad Challenger owner if you use an 08 as a daily driver, since it may or may not have a lot of resale value years from now?

...I'm reliving 1969-70 all over again

...I drive it everyday, everywhere(even in the rain)....it already has over 2K miles and is sitting in the garage dirty as I type...I have a red 09 SRT ordered to drive the wheels off of too...and I'll get a convertible when available

...by the time they are valuable/collectible, I'll be taking a dirt nap anyway

Re: 08 as Daily Driver or Weekender?

I just drove #5015 (black with all of the options) home from the dealer this past Wednesday.

I am going to drive it as much as possible. It is way to nice to let sit in the garage. It needs to be driven to keep it happy.

JS29ROB, mine is sitting in the garage dirty as well.

Re: 08 as Daily Driver or Weekender?

No winters, no commutes, everything else. So about 4-5K miles per year.

Bro-U only live once! Enjoy your car -drive it everyday and have fun, who cares about resale value-save it for when ur too old to drive it. You'll have no regrets

Re: 08 as Daily Driver or Weekender?

My 2009 Challenger SRT will not be a "go to work car," but I will drive it daily for fun. However, when the roads are full of ice, snow and salt, it is not moving from my driveway.
