Re: '08 Production has "Officially" Started

I dont know guys.. the more I look at that video the more it looks chrome to me. the high gloss reflections aren't even enough for that to explain it, especially considering the different angles that the window trim sits around the window. the trims reflection is consistent with itself only, if were just the lighting then one would expect a lot more glare off the rest of the car.
besides, isn't the trim a matte finish that shouldn't glare much at all?

maybe it was just chromed on this particular car as a test or for the press conference.

We should find out in a few days when our friends here start taking delivery!!!!

Re: '08 Production has "Officially" Started

I noticed the same glare coming off the front spoiler as well as other known matte black surfaces a few frames up on the video.
The downward lighting has to be forceing that illusion of chrome god I hope so !!

Hey Block.
based on your comment I am guessing that you might also be able to settle the question about window trim on the Black Challenger. Chrome or Black?

I think it's black. I don't see why they'd change it.

Re: '08 Production has "Officially" Started

It's black trim guys. I see it everyday in the plant on the minivan trim. The way the light hits it at certain angles you'd swear it's chrome. Very strange, considering the trim is a matte black, but something in the material makes it reflective.

Excellent!!! I am wanting Orange, but since we don't get a choice I might have to settle for black and I really didn't like the thought of chrome window trim.
