General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
First thing you should do is not race on the street it belongs on the track you kill sombody and you will be in jail and then you will not be driveing your challenger be safe first my two cents HEMIB5BLUE
Of course, I'm just talking about going 0-45 at the light on a wide open street. Those times when another muscle car pulls up next to you rev'ing their engine and gives you a friendly nod. I'm no where near track racing at this point. I plan on keeping my 10+ years, zero-ticket, perfect driving record! Thanks for all the tips, I didn't realize the new 5.0's had that big of an edge on a R/T. That really stinks!

Two problems. Mustang is atleast 300 lbs lighter and it has another 50 or so HP. Did not realize this but they claim 15 hp improvement with premium fuel. Never seen that much of a boost from gas before.
Women who drive 5.0 Mustangs are now considered Soccer Moms? Interesting!!! Hmmm!
Well I guess I'm a soccer dad, then.
As for the OP. The driver mod IS very important. Practice, practice, practice.
Who knows, that "Soccer Mom" could've been Ashley Force, Melanie Troxel or Erica Enders. Just because the other driver is a girl doesn't mean she can't be fast.

Heads up to you Dont be upset with your RT is an awsome car..I own A 2013 rt classic .A 730hp built 4.6 HC BLOWER 07 Shelby gt and a 12 Mustang GT 5.0 track pack it's a 6 speed 3.73 gear... brembo brake car with HD suspension...stock 568 miles DYNO on DYNO Jet in ny on 80 degree day car made @6600 392/381 cai tune 91 ...then removed stock mufflers @6900 401/378 lower tq due to muffler delete ...car traps 114-116.7 mph 12.16-12.4 avg on 19s stock pirellis ..so don't be disappointed..challenger is still respectable and very luxurious too boot ..my friend with auto 5.0 with my mods and full exhaust long tubes have gone a best of 11.41 @ 119 making 408 rwhp thru auto so 5.0s more in 392 bracket....Plus mustangs a good 300lbs lighter.... never mind mods and light weight wheels or anything... I wouldn't consider a 13.40 104 mph car slow so don't be down on your challenger ..my 2013 classic auto would be a good run from a dig for my 5.0 0-75 ...in fact I bet the chally gates it then 5.0 has to work its high rpm magic to reel it in up top ..
Hugh !!!! Oh front...you mean yeah brembo car is out in front of the 400lb heavier srt8 by like 4 carlenths ..THATS MORE ACCURATE.sorry I'm corrected....
