Unless he's got serious money in it.. and I mean serious.. it won't be close.

Raced one and by time I got to 3rd gear I had 6 car lengths on him. Less weight, but no torque. That said with enough cash, you could make a Yugo fast.

Torque gets you to speed , HP makes you fast up top.

that's the point i was trying to prove right there.

you have an auto V6 turbo that traps around what a lightly modded RT does.

that said, you can hear the 5.0 blow up the tires through the first two gears with his manual 6-speed - but then he almost ran you down

he trapped 112mph, which is what tuned 392's run.

if his car would have been an auto, there would have been a chance that he knocks down more than half a second.

either way, nice run......your car runs pretty strong......

that car would need a bigger turbo with a full 3" catback exhaust, a big front mount intercooler and some sort of DR.

if he is running the stock turbo, go crush his soul.

better yet, up the ante and bet him that you will slap him down from 0-100mph.

if he wants to run from a 40mph roll, i'd back off......

key thing is to fiund out if he's running that baby stock turbo - if he is, your absolute best chance is to run him from a dig up to @ 100mph.

Had an 07 Gti with apr stg2 software car is a 13.90 100-102 mph car it's fun for 4 cyl turbo but not a13.4 104 mph car ..challenger is faster

Thanks Litos. I am pretty sure he has a stock exhaust but he has had the car tuned. I have my car tuned as well running a 93 CAI tune. I don't know if he is serious to race and wants me to slap down $1000 dollars on hood. that is a lot of cash

if you want to compete with a 5.0 you need a 392 automatic

then a soccer mom with a 2013 gt500 will still kick your @ss

the Challenger cant compete with a car 800lbs+ less

Ford is a smart company right now....they have a similar car for 1/2 the price, better mileage, less HP and yet can beat/tie the 392 Challenger...yea the Challenger looks better, but for the masses the Mustang is good enough..thats why you see 100 Mustangs to 1 Challenger
