...not in N Texas! Challenger numbers may be rivaling Toyota Camry's out here. I have no idea what that's about.

09 Challenger R/T automatic...4 tires, stick-on convex mirror, seats

It's not that I really needed 370 hp...but having 150+ hp riding shotgun at a moment's bidding w/o a 6000 rpm moonshot is what makes me feel like I'm in the right car for me. The roar of a v8 seals the deal!

The Google keyword is "ethanol-free gas". The truth is coming to light. Check out http://pure-gas.org/

I was tempted to go to the dark side by the new 5.0. The thing that stopped me was the 100 to 1 ratio of mustangs to challengers around the Indy area. And, on street nights here, my 392 hasnt lost to a non-supercharged mustang yet, not even a couple 5.0s that were modded. I do like the new mustangs, but usually, me and my brother are the only challengers on street night vs 30 or more mustangs.

A guy in 6-speed R/T that doesn't know how to drive it is going to get smoked by a mom in a 5.0 Automatic EVERYTIME.

based on the information you're giving us, i think the guy is full of sheet and just trying to scare you out of a race that he is going to lose.

there is no way that he can beat a Challenger from 0-100mph with just a tune, stock turbo and stock ehaust.

is this kid like 19 or 20 years old or something, because he's borderline retarded......

from a dead stop, you will launch out about 3 cars on him because of the simple fact that his FWD car is going to blow up the tires....

and even after he gets traction, i don't see him running you down by the time you hit 100mph - if he does, then he's highly modded, meaning big turbo, full 3" down pipe/exhaust, bigger intercoler.

if i were you, i'd take his money.....

Ford is a smart company right now....they have a similar car for 1/2 the price, better mileage, less HP and yet can beat/tie the 392 Challenger...yea the Challenger looks better, but for the masses the Mustang is good enough..thats why you see 100 Mustangs to 1 Challenger
Fyi. Gt500 is 3845lbs. Srt8 is 4170. Not 800 lbs difference by any means.

I bet it would only take 2 to 3 lbs of boost on a 5.7 to do it by my estimation.

Do any of the super chargers for the 5.7 have different pullies for adjusting boost? In the long term, I would like one that would allow 0-6 or so lbs of boost depending on pully size.

The GT is 3603/3650. Not 800, but still a significant difference.
