Re: 17,000+ Challengers! **6-18-08**

Thanks for that article Major. I find it hard to believe that they will limit numbers on ANY of the '09 model Challengers. And as far as the 'limited' number of SRT Chargers/300's that have been built...well in southern California, any given dealership I've gone to has 3-5 sitting on the lots unsold...obviously they can't sell them if they are sitting in those numbers. And they'll limit the number of SRT Challengers why again? Doesn't make sense to me since they are struggling...anyone care to share their thoughts....

Re: 17,000+ Challengers! **6-18-08**

Part of the reason that SRT8s have to be limited production is because of CAFE. Chrysler may be waiting to get a handle on how many V6s they sell before they determine the SRT8 production numbers for the year.

Re: 17,000+ Challengers! **6-18-08**

First off I never speculate!
It came from Dodge via Mr Fredericks when we spoke on the phone today ..Only the facts my friend ,only the facts!
The 09 SRt8's are about all called for plain and simple.

SRT8 especially the challengers all years will be limited in numbers this has been repeated many times from Dodge themselves.

Also, to hope the Challenger will save Dodge, who has the worst gas mileage overall as a company, is wishful thinking. I love my Dodges, but they are headed for trouble, with no real fuel efficient vehicles to sell. Even the V6 will not get great gas mileage, the car weighs a ton. They marketed the Hemi beautifully and were not prepared for this at all. As seen today, even their own CEO said to expect it to get worse:

Chrysler CEO warns staff of worsening sales

Re: 17,000+ Challengers! **6-18-08**

I couldn't believe it when I heard the news today about how many cars to date have been pre-ordered!
Cuda its amazing Dodge pulled this off how cool is this that they have a serious hit on their hands and not some flash in the pan..
Says alot about what they have accomplished doesn't it.
Now lets all repeat this montra "where are our cars"!!
Fall is only a few months away now!
June just flew by!
Yippie!
