Re: 20 / Or 18 Inch Wheels

well I am not too keen of the Chrome clad 20's but I have ask other owners of Chargers and Rams and they hold up well from what I am told. I have a Manual comming so the 3.91 gears were a must. Depending on the ride may go after market and predator the new tire size.

That's exactly the reason why I have no choice but to go with the 20s as I want 3.91 but I will be putting on the classic wheels so the cladded 20s will be the winter rims.

Re: 20 / Or 18 Inch Wheels

I went with the 18s, I like the vintage look of seeing some sidewalls on the tires. Unfortunately alot of the cooler aftermarket rims are 20+

Ride with the 20's is surprisingly smooth. The lower profile of the 245/45s make it handle great also, because of less sidewall flex. Any which way you choose, you can't go wrong, after all it's a Challenger, right?!?

Re: 20 / Or 18 Inch Wheels

The 18's are my choice. For throwback reasons and the wheels ( not noticeable in pics) even have a dished out look when you see in person. Car does need to be lowered though.

Re: 20 / Or 18 Inch Wheels

I went with the 20's (08SRT Replicas) because to me it fits in the wheel well better. The ride is pretty good as it is but my plan is put Eibach lowering springs so I'm not sure how much different the handling will be.

I like the 18's too but I wish I could find more of the retro wheels (Like Foose, et. al.) without the higher cost and wait times. I love the fact that we all have different tastes. I also hope to attend a rally sometime soon.....

Re: 20 / Or 18 Inch Wheels

I like the bigger rims but as most have said it comes down to personal preference. Your ride will be a little stiff with the bigger rims and I think you lose a little power as well, but I do think the car looks nicer with the bigger rims.

I order the 18's also. My preference. I have been looking at new wheels also and really like your choice. It is right there with the Foose 105 legend.
