I changed the oil regularly using Castrol full synthetic.

That is what I wanted to point out...you don't need $12+ a quart multi colored oil and high priced additives to get the miles out of these engines...just good quality name brand and regular changes...

Right, those boutique oils are a waste, IMO, but Castrol Syntec/Edge is just as much as Mobil 1 at about $9/qt (Cheaper at Wally World). He did use a top-brand synthetic, not a plain, bargain-brand conventional oil.

I always use Mobile 1. I try to buy a couple of changes (14 qts) whenever I see it on sale which is common around here. O'rielly ran a sale on it about a month ago for 4.99 QT. Best deal I have seen in a while...usually 5.99+.....also depends on the area you live in...

Ditto, Mobil 1 here as well. Been using it for nearly 20 years now, never had any engine problems with any vehicle that has used it.

Regardless, proper and regular maintenance are the keys no matter what products are used.

I did not read anything about him using D with mds or paddle shift mode...

It may be modern, but its still a Mopar. My '66 Polara (383 engine) reached over 260,000 miles before I pulled it out for a built 440. My former '73 Satellite (318 engine) went well over 400,000 miles. My wife's 93 Vision TSi (first-gen Chrysler 3.5, iron block) went over 250k before we sold it.

Take care of them with proper maintenance and they will take care of you.

As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is
impossible- but pissing everyone off, is a piece of cake.
