Re: 2009 Challenger Full option list

I can't understand why anyone would want to delete the 2009 hood stripe. It really makes the twin hood scoops stand out and is totally retro.

I know a few who would have liked to delete the 2008 fake carbon fiber stripe, however.

To each his own, I guess.

Re: 2009 Challenger Full option list

Is the 09 stripe a fake carbon stripe, or is it just a black stripe?

^^^^^Right on Go Goody! If the selection they have for other cars is any indication of what they will offer for the Challenger, im sure they will have just what I want.. Now can you get them in reflective 3M tape!

I too have ordered my 09 srt w/o the hood stripe and am looking to personalize with the side stripe or some kind of side accent for that matter.

I don't know how many people on this forum have actually seen the challengers at the 2008 car shows with the 09 line up close and personal. The RT was hot w/o the hood stripe. Personally, at the NY show they showed the gray srt which probably didn't show the stripe to its advantage. On any other color it might have swayed me especially the hemi o. It's one thing to see it in a photo, quite another in person. Just my opinion though.

By the way, I think the hood stripe is great - it is very masculine and powerful and retro as intended. As a woman, this is probably just a little to much for a girl running around town as I'm sure most men will agree. I have debated should I get it or not for quite some time. I tried for the 08 to no avail, so believe me, I would have had no problem driving around striped!! Given the option to delete the stripe was a good move on their part and actually I think the hood looks even longer without it! With or without the hood stripe, this car has a presence that makes a statement.

I'll leave the hood stripes to you guys who no doubt will look great in them as it should be!
