Re: 2009 Challenger R/T is available to order

Just placed my order for an '09 R/T, Black, 6-speed, no options from Fred Garza (SRTpusher) in San Antonio.

Thanks Fred, I'm hoping it will be shipped in time for my birthday in mid September.

SRTpusher,

I've been trying to do some research to find out why MyGig is not available on manual transmission R/Ts. Can you provide some more info on why that is?

the electronics convenience group is required on the R/T in order to have the mygig. since the ECG has remote start they made it N/A on the R/T.

I do not know why they couldn't have just deactivated the remote start on the 6-sp R/T models.

If all you want is the MyGig, then you can add it after the fact too.

Re: 2009 Challenger R/T is available to order

That was really dumb. I wanted the ECG and would have bought it even with the remote start deactivated.

On another forum someone posted that they are re-doing the options sheet so you can get MyGig w/o the remote start option for the 6 sp. Supposedly it was mentioned on the RLD blog, but I didn't see it during a quick look earlier, so Caveat Emptor.

Re: 2009 Challenger R/T is available to order

Bob Frederick mentioned it on RedLetterDodge.com -- here's a link to the comment he made on the latest article:

Red Letter Dodge » It’s Official: 2009 Challenger Orders Begin, Dodge Listens and Acts on Your Advice

Bob noticed the error and personally contacted Chrysler about it and per him they'll have it fixed soon.

His post:

The system today will allow us to order MYGIG, and hopefully tomorrow we can order the proper Electronics Convenience Package to make it a buildable order combination.

I hope this helps,

Bob
