2009 SRT8 no orange

but they offer orange on the R/T. I really dig HEMI orange for that car. I might end up with an R/T when all is said and done. Well, at least with MDS the hwy mpg is better.

Decisions decisions. Stick shift or not to shift? That is the question.

I can't wait for them to hit the dealers so I can actually sit in one and decide if it's truly for me or if it will ultimately be a Charger.

Re: 2009 SRT8 no orange

Yep, I was planning on an '09 SRT8 (as it lines up better with my current lease end in Aug '08) until I learned that Hemi Orange is '08 SRT8 *only* and will only be an option for the R/T in '09. I scrambled to dealers thinking that for sure I was way too late in the game to get one. However, I've been able to secure two orders for one with refundable deposits. One is in 'C' status and they won't talk about price until it's on the way to the dealer. The other the dealer won't really tell me the status and they're set on $5k over MSRP.

Hopefully it all pans out.

It's probably to make the '08 SRT8 LE buyers happy that they got something "unique". Dumb from my perspective but I can understand it. I dunno what it is. I wouldn't dream of an orange car in ANY other car out there but this Challenger, to me, looks best in orange.

Agreed. Hemi Orange definitely makes the car that much cooler to me. Not that it looks "bad" in the other colors (they all look cool), but they just don't stand out as much to me as the Hemi Orange does. I can't wait.

Re: 2009 SRT8 no orange

Im lost as I want an orange srt8 but want to wait for the 09 or 10 so that I can get a six-speed. With the concept being orange I cant believe 08 will be the only year that an srt will be available in orange.Time will tell.

Re: 2009 SRT8 no orange

This vin tracking system is the bomb!!!

Id do hemi orange in a heart beat I just dot want an 08 . I have a torch red vette already and that is enough for me. I like the hemi orange because of its lineage with Dodge,so does Johnny Law!
Black is more my color and fits me too a tee.
I need a formal car now and then with business or I would just buy an hemi orange off ebay. Both look mean as all get out IMO....
