I need a formal car now and then with business or I would just buy an hemi orange off ebay. Both look mean as all get out IMO....
...one of the first Challengers I ever saw was a 70 440 - 6 PACK a friend of mine bought new....it was an RT/SE and ALL BLACK....he instantly put on Cragars SS mags and wide rear tires/air shocks etc etc.....quite a distinguished looking Challenger....seems like yesterday I saw him cruising it down the streets of our town....due to his connections with the local Chrysler plant, he got a new car every 6 months....he traded it in for a 70 Charger RT 440 6 PACK....ALL BLACK of course....the cars are long gone, as is my friend, but they sure were beautiful

Im with you man, I love the Hemi Orange, but I think black better suits me anyway. If I do end up getting the black, I'm gonna put real Carbon Fiber stripes on the hood.

Re: 2009 SRT8 no orange

I love the orange and can't wait to get it! The only thing that has me a little nervous is how professional it's gonna look. That's one reason why I got rid of the SRT4, loved the car but it looked like it belonged in a toy chest.

The orange suits me perfect. It's just as special as I am! or so I'm told!

Re: 2009 SRT8 no orange

Thats what is cool about this car there is no wrong answers on what one wants its all personal preference, and no one has a right to tell anyone what they think when it comes down to your hard earned $$$$$$$$$ that pay for the car.
Make a statement that is what this car does best.

All I want is the cops to not notice me as much as they do in that torch red vette, they just stare me down and thats a little un-nerving at times.
I'll never forget my first stop in the vette the cop was hidden in the ditch so well I missed him and when I had seen him run to his car thru a ditch filled with cat tails with his radar gun in hand I just pulled over immediately.
That saved me from a ticket I feel.
I did the same thing once in my old 64 Buick Riv. I was really hauling over 100 mph and when the cop stopped me he was cool and actually let me go then also, but with a Stern warning that he will be listening on the radio and if I get stopped on my way to Chicago he'd have my car towed to Kentucky, lol.
I drove home from southern Illinois like a nun.

When I was stopped in the vette the officer did say that since I showed that measure of respect he'd only hand me a warning I was doing 85 in a 55 mph zone.
I don't pull that stuff anymore. Then he wanted to know more about my vette etc...He was a car guy !
I do know this Ill get a hidden pro installed radar detector in the SRT cause in Michigan they really throw the book at you when they find the little thing hooked to your visor or on the dash.

So I only speed on the track now days the streets are too cluttered with families and such who really don't like to be put in harms way because Id have an urge to air the car out a bit.

I recommend a damn radar detector god knows we will need them, and I have no idea whats what in that area anymore, things have changed so much since I bought my whistler/laser detector back a decade ago if now longer. I dont plan to speed I just like to know where they are before I come up on them.
