If I was a marketing orientated person, I would venture to say the Sublime Green and Ferocious Fuschia would be released as part of the 2012 and 2011 Spring Specials.

Also, wasn't there mention of an upgrade satellite receiver?

RS, thanks for the information. I hope you can release more in the near future. After waiting 2 years for a promotion so I could afford to get exactly what I want these last few months of waiting for production details while Dodge plays coy are killing me.

#44 ·
Yep, the SE needs a manual tranny. The other kids on the block have it. I guess the convertible is also still non-existant from Dodge.

RS, your the man!

#46 ·
Thanks RS, great info. One question, I used the dodge website to build a SE/G in Bright White with the rallye package, choose leather seats and noticed there was no charge for the leather seats. Is this the new "base" package for the interior, or just a problem with the dodge build your own website? Guess my name, Chally2010, should be 2011:thumbsup:

... Driver's seat quick release for rear seat access ...

Glad to see they're finally doing something about the driver's side rear access issue.

Hope they also address the sagging headliners with some front and back edge trim.

I expect robust first quarter sales primarily due to the offering of white for SRT's, many have been waiting for this for sometime.
The tri-color Inferno Red sounds interesting too.

Now the big question:
Will SRTs finally get a light in the glove box, Doe !
:smoker:

RS -
Any word on which (if any) of these new goodies can be directly retro-fitted into 2009 and 2010 Challengers (like a drivers seat swap or a new head unit swap or even a steering wheel or dashboard swap...)?

#53 ·
RS -
You stated in another thread:

"2011 model year is the mid-point. Challenger= 2008-2009-2010-2011-2012-2013-2014. "

What exactly does that mean?
Challenger is on an End of Life track already?
It's due for a major redesign in 2015?

When does the fate of the 2015 Challenger get decided?
(Funding, design, tooling, etc., etc. all require a certain lead time.)

Thanks.

#69 ·
FWIW here's a spy shot of the 2011 Charger interior (including the new steering wheel). Since everyone is saying the Chally interior will be extensively revised, I would expect it to be some variation of this (just like the current one is similar to the Charger's). Just a minimally-educated guess on my part, so take it FWIW.

Spy Photos: 2011 Dodge Charger Interior Revealed
It looks better, but too bad it's not more similar to original Challengers with 3 metal spokes and the "accordion" appearance on the shaft.

#57 ·
RS,

After comparing the specs between the 6.1L and the crate 6.4L, really, it just looks like the 6.4L is a stroked 6.1L. Different push rods, and a new cam designed specifically for MDS.

Is the reason we don't have hp/tq #'s partially because they are finalizing testing or they just not being released to create buzz?

#58 ·
ResumeSpeed what about the SRT8 wheels? Will they be redesigned? Will there be a chrome wheel option like the R/T's have? What about wider wheels for the rear?

Thanks, Rob

#59 ·
It would also be interesting if the gearing is switched in the rear, such as a 3.55 or 3.73 option like the mustang is offering. This would definitely help get the challenger into the mid and low 1/4 mile 12s

Uh, I'm assuming you're referring to the slushbox version. The manual variety is already equipped with a 3.92...............

Unless this thing sheds some serious weight, low 12's out of the box might still be a bit optimistic (but we can hope).

#70 ·
RS,

Are you aware of any discussion about perhaps putting an actual spare tire in the SRT? As long as you are fielding questions, is there any possibility of a factory shaker scoop? Thanks.

#80 ·
ResumeSpeed, with the new 6.4L will the exhaust system and mufflers change? Will the exhaust tone change? I was just to the SRT8 experience and think the Jeep SRT8 has the best exhaust sound of all the SRT8 vehicles. The Jeep SRT8 has a deeper more throaty sound than the rest.

Thanks, Rob
