General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
It's less expensive. It also has different stripes, wheels, and badges. These aren't really upgrades, but I do prefer the look of the R/T.
When I bought my R/T Plus, a SRT-8 would have been $13,000 more. The SRT comes with many of the R/T options as standard so depending on how many options you'd get on a R/T the price difference may be less.
The SRT is the top model, as far as performance the R/T is not as good (as you would expect). As far as comforts, you can get anything the SRT has but in doing so will cause the price of the R/T to go up getting almost (ALMOST..) as expensive as the SRT.
BASE - LOADED
R/T $28,000 - $41,000
BASE - LOADED
SRT $45,000 - $51,000

Does the R/T version have any advantages over the SRT Challenger?
Yet another post again?? I've lost count of the posts by the OP asking this again, and again and again, with different orders of wording (but mostly the same inquiry) in the questions:

I would have thought the R/T Road & Track would handle slighty better if not that but also being lighter than the SRT. Like the difference between a Boss 302 and Mustang GT or GT-500.

I wish people would stop trying to be something they're not...... regardless how you present it, the cost difference between building an R/T, or buyer an SRT8 is negligable. The brakes alone are well over $3K. I'm sorry to tell you, (from a buyers perspective), in the end, all you have is an R/T with allot of after market parts.

I've just about wore out a set of tires while you've been posting the SOS over and over, over and over, and over and over again.
Merry Christmas though. LOL
