Thumbs up

This information seems to be easier to understand than the Dodge "Build Your Own" website.
Maybe It will make special ordering easier as this can get confusing
If the 3.92 rear end, HID headlights, Park Assistance, functional hood scoops options can be had on one model of the Challenger in 6 spd. manual. I know the Trac Pac can be added or not but on the fence on that one.

Stingray, for all of those items you want either the RT classic package or the SRT package.

You could get all items except the functional hood scoops with the RT plus package and then selecting the appropriate options (20" wheels to get 3.92 rear end).

Thanks, Yes I saw that it comes down to Parking Assist vs. functional hood scoops as the R/T Plus has ParkSense rear Park Assist System included in package.
The R/T Classic doesn't have ParkSense but has functional hood scoops.
Wouldn't it be that difficult to have the hood scoops made functional on R/T Plus?
Then you could have all of those options.
Looks like the R/T Plus would be about $910 less than the R/T Classic both with 20 inch wheels, Trac Pac, and 3.92 rear end.
What do you get for paying that $910 extra for the R/T Classic over the R/T Plus?

Easy to add the scoops yourself after the fact. And cheap too. The park assist not so much unless you went with a lock pik and back up camera. About a $500 touch.

I still don't understand something and maybe someone can explain it to me. If i get an R/T classic it comes standard with a 3.92 rear end, if I get an automatic transmission it goes to a 3.06 rear. But then if I oreder the auto and then order the 20" wheels does it go back to a 3.92 rear, and if so what changed. Thanks for your help.

All automatics get 3.06 gears. Six speeds with 18" wheels get 3.73 gears. Six speeds with 20" wheels get 3.92 gears. Hope this helps.

You might want to look again. Rear park assist should be standard on the RT Classic.

Soon it will be federal law that cars come with rear back up cameras.
