General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
thanks for the info, good to see pcp and sublime on the list. i saw a tricoat red r/t classic with white stripes at the dealer,a stunning color combo in bright sunlight!
It is confusing. The Explore section of dodge.com says the Classic comes with cast Envy wheels (apparently true). The Build and Price section says it comes with forged aluminum wheels (apparently incorrect). It also shows an option for 20" x 8" aluminum wheels for $995. Those are the Heritage wheels.
All I know for sure is my 2012 came with Envy wheels.
Classic comes with 20" wheels and tires, HID headlights, Functional Hood Scoops, Strip package, and Challenger glue on Script Logo on the side all stock. This is not included with the Plus package.
Not a big deal but Chrome Clad wheels have gone up to $1,095 on the Dodge website. What is a big deal (to me at least) is that we're almost half way through the model year and we still don't know what models will be available in the final four colors. In fact, anyone just walking into a dealership wouldn't even know that these colors were on the way. Isn't this becoming a bit ridiculous? I know if I bought a new Challenger based on current official Dodge released information (and then additional colors were offered, maybe colors I had been waiting YEARS for like Sublime) I would be seriously pissed!

Yes, it's completely ridiculous, and it's the same with Chargers. Dodge are most definitely losing business because they can't get their act together. And the salesmen have no clue, and what is more don't care. Lame, lame, lame.

I had a salesman call me yesterday and asked if I was still interested in buying, I said yes ( but not from him - to myself) he said, I see your looking for Phantom Black, yep, his response was I've never heard of thatcolor, huh! Unreal, and he works there, just like Greyhound said "he's losing business" sad indeed.

Exactly! I got lost in YouTube the other day and ran across a Corvette C7 video that is actually from the Official Chevrolet YouTube page. They show them testing with the camo on it giving bits of info and at the end of the video -- I can still see this vividly -- 1/13/13. The date they will be reveling it. Also you can walk into a Ford dealership and place an order on a '14 GT500. They list the options, pricing, and the whole nine yards.
Chrysler needs to take note from their competitors, not just on cars but, on "new" industry standards because it is obvious they are still stuck in the past.
