For reasons beyond my comprehension, Chrysler drags it's feet till the last possible moment on releasing info.
I know how you feel, I was waiting to see if launch control was going to be on 13's, and everything I read said 13's would be the same, except maybe a few new colors..
so 2 months ago, I ordered my 12 SRT 6 spd....:SM002:
Hey RS., any chance launch control will be backward compatible to work in 2012 cars????

#216 ·
Hit a deer and totaled my 12 R/T.It was white with red army stripes.Decided to go with a 13 redline pearl and the red leather seats. You can only get the red leather seats in black, silver and white. WTH?Instead they found an acceptable 12 1600 miles away.Cant wait!!Loved the white one and anticipate the fun in the red one.Wife and I have a wager as to who gets the first ticket in TicketMeRed. Dinner and......... is at stake,

With most if not all of the colors that people want coming in MY2013, it feels like if this model would be the last for the Challenger even though there were rumors/indications for 2014 or maybe later Challenger..

For me, I finally can see the color that I want to buy..

#225 ·
Let's keep in mind, the MAIN reason these colors were ever removed from availability was due (in large part) to the tsunami...

now that recovery is in progress, I don't see why Dodge wouldn't start offering them again...

resume speed: any word on any of these 'special' colors having a limited appearance package along with it....ala yellow jacket

rims, strips, exhaust tips, etc???

im still hoping for a TA appearance package for a 392....id love to get the TA hood all blacked out along with the side stripes on a 392 Sublime....it would probably make me trade in my IE.....side exhaust would put it over the top(i know there's no room for it under the car)

How do I go about ordering a sublime? Can I order one now or do I have to wait?
The short answer is that you will have to wait. Now here's the rest of the story. Sublime is not now an option in the ordering system, but will be at some future date. That random date will be months from now, likely in the new year, and you will receive no advance notification of the date. Get used to checking here daily, and calling the General New Car Sales Manager every other day at your local Dodge dealer, just like we all will. And when that date does arrive, make sure that your dealer actually has an allocation available on that day for a Challenger, and sit there and watch him put the order in and receive a VON number before you leave the dealership.

One last thing, the window to order will be short, marked in days and hours, and will be randomly closed without advance notification. I expect they will get a lot of Sublime orders that first day, and when the orders exceed the allotted production slots for sublime cars, it will close suddenly and forever. Information from Chrysler on all of these issues is on a "Need to Know" basis, and is a closely guarded secret. You are just a customer, and according to past practice, do NOT need to know.

Good luck to all in the ordering lottery!

P.S. Just remember, customer sold orders take two to three times longer to arrive at most dealerships, than orders made for dealer stock, even when your car is made the month before. Allowing customers to order their cars is a very inconvenient service provided for, but discouraged by most dealers. They would rather order for us in quantities designed to fabricate a shortage, thereby allowing greater mark-ups. Find a dealer who doesn't play these games.

Resume speed:

are there now 3 choices for Rims for SRT's? are the black painted pocket (IE) rims still optional?

can you get Radar Red interior and red stripes on all colors?

red stripes would look strange on PCP, HO and SB

wonder what a red interior would look like on Sublime? Christmas?

#234 ·
No optional rims are available for the SRT at this time, don't have a date on when the new black vapor rims will be available. There are several exclusions with the radar red/stripes/exterior colors. Sublime= near end of model year (hmm, maybe a reason for that?). Specs I have seen list same hp/tq numbers for 392.

#243 ·
most people dont like Sublime....i love it, but i think the market now after GWE is small

i doubt they'd use it for a special TRUE edition....anything they do will just be decals like they always do.

PCP or HO would be a better color if they wanted to make a REAL special edition since a color like HO appeals to almost every Challenger owner.

P.S. Just remember, customer sold orders take two to three times longer to arrive at most dealerships, than orders made for dealer stock, even when your car is made the month before.
Not true! I ordered my 2012 BSP R/T Classic the last week of Feb and it was delivered to the dealership April 5th. I was expecting it to be like you said and not to be delivered until late May but it was built and delivered in 5 weeks.

#249 · (Edited)
A customer order may be a higher build priority - but the dealer may have decision making power, or at least influence, over which cars get shipped first.

There's a conflict of interest, since the dealers are really the "customers" of the manufacturer. Utimately the manufacturer has a higher loyalty to the franchise network which orders hundreds of cars, versus the occasional individual.

Browse the threads for people asking "Why is my car sitting at the rail yard for weeks?" It definately happens, and you need to do business with dealers who don't d1¢k around.

I am so happy that the Hemi Orange will be back as well as TorRed! These are one of the best colors for me!

#255 ·
PCP and phantom black...i have to start saving money quick!!

#260 ·
First post, hope I dont screw it up. Greetings all, great site. I've seen all of the 2013 colors have been anounced. I'm trying to find out what (if any) colors will not be available on a base R/T. I want trak-pak, six speed and that's it. Leaning towards PCP but don't want to get too set on any one color only to find out it's not available on the base R/T. Thanks.

#262 · (Edited)
Good question. I've seen various inquiries for certain colors on certain models like the below example but never a reply simply saying ALL colors will be available on ALL models which is how I'm reading the page 1 post.

RS can you please I confirm that ALL colors will be available on ALL models?

I want to order an SXT in Plum Crazy.

Is it definitely confirmed that Sublime Metallic is a definite srt8 or R/T Classic color for 2013?
Yes, but not until later in the model year...

#261 ·
Phantom tri black sounds interesting i seen the color sample on a previous page and I was just wondering what is exactly the difference between it and the regular black I am pretty color blind and that little image I can't really tell the difference
