Could be the line up for sure...I don't think the 392 will go to the R/T though. Seems like Dodge would be making more than a few people mad with that one...but, who knows?

Like I've said a few times, the 6.2SC paired with PCP (fully loaded other than sunroof and auto!) is what I'm looking for.

No problem waiting to next year either since that is when PCP is suppose to start production...just need that engine as an option!

Great info. After being embarrassed by a Sublime Charger Daytona, I'm going to pull the trigger on a PCP R/T Classic. I love Toxic Orange Pearl, but would be more than happy with a color that pays homage to the original. A V8 doesn't hurt either.

I'm not quite sure what I think of Header Orange at this point... Which is odd, since I just bought a Header Orange SRT8 to replace my TorRed one. lol
Honestly, I picked it because my other choices were White, Black, Silver and a Yellow Jacket in Stinger Yellow. Not a fan of White or Silver, and I wouldn't own a Black car again after my Brilliant Black Charger. No interest in Yellow. So, header Orange it was. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a color I disliked by any means, in fact it was third fourth on my list of colors I'd chose. Right behind Blue Streak, Redline, and possibly Tungsten. It's definitely a nice, bright color that pays homage to the original Vitamin C pigment. It is what it's supposed to be, a somewhat retro color on a retro car. Just never saw myself in an Orange car. lol Oh, and the reason I am in an Orange car is because of the number I got for selling my old car privately, and the deal I received for buying the new car was really too good to pass up.

Here's some pics of it when I was looking at it on the lot, and then next to my old '09 Challenger...

Also wanted to add that in certain light, the color looks muted, or a bit duller, and a different shade. More like tangerine, or the inside of a ripe cantaloupe

My thoughts were similar to yours when I bought mine. I had a 2010 Hemi Orange R/T. I wanted to get a 2011 up for all the improvements. Hated to give up Hemi Orange but figured I'd get whatever was the high impact color at the time. To me, the Challenger is the kind of car that should have a different color. Every manufacturer out there makes their vehicles in white, black, silver and gray. So I never had any interest in those. After having the Header Orange for a while, I have to say the color has been constantly growing on me. It looks particularly good in low light like sunset. Takes on a much richer hue.

#386 ·
Actually looks pretty good with the blk stripes and spoilers. The ones i've seen were too plain, and i think that color doesn't carry well without something to set it off. Your car looks Great!

#387 ·
Thanks! The color grows on me every day (it better as I own it. lol). I agree about the accents to break up all that Orange. I think I would have preferred the dark Gray metallic stripes above the Black. But, that's incidental. I may change that later. The color definitely gets it share of attention, though.

#389 ·
You're right about getting a high impact color for sure. I think you caught the difference, or change in the color we're referring to in your avatar compared to mine. You can see the difference in the richness of the color between yours (lighter, more cantaloupe) and mine (darker, more Orange). It amazes me how different the same color can be in different lighting. It seems especially so with Header Orange. My TorRed changed a bit, but not as much as Header Orange.

#391 ·
There are many things that affect our perceptions of colors, including lighting, surrounding colors and how it's presented.

The orange disks in this image are exactly the same color. So are the squares that they sit on.

Blows my mind every time I look at it.

#392 ·
correct me if i'm mistaken, which has happened on more than one occurrence....

I thought blue streak pearl was a 2013 color too... is it no longer a 2013 color, or am i missing it in the list now? It was originally listed, correct?

I remember thinking how weird it was there would be 2 blues out at once and now... anyways....

shipment date

My salesman called me today and said I was assigned a serial number and a shipment date of August 9!

#410 ·
I know RS says cars roll 7/27, but a bud who works at the plant told me they are in shut down & re-open on Mon 7/30..

No biggie either way; dealer sent me sales order POC and now it has a shipment date, so things are in the works, and thats the bottom line!! :woot:

#415 ·
Has anyone seen the billet metalic? I'm thinking of just ordering a 13 but curious if I will pay a ton more than a left over 12.
You will pay any price increase as well as lose any incentives, rebates or discounted financing until most of the 2012 models are gone.

2013 SRT production

All, I ordered a 2013 SRT back when the gates opened. Have VON and partial VIN but still no production date. It has been mentioned to me that there are not any SRT's rolling off the line to begin with. Can anyone confirm or deny this or have any insight into when the SRT's might start to roll??

Mucho Thanks,

#422 ·
Uh, NO.

Next.........

#430 ·
I feel sorry for the Triskaidekaphobia guys and gals! lol I want red leather seats!!

#435 · (Edited)
Because like many websites, it's the last thing to get updated, not the first like it should be. By the time Stinger Yellow 2012 R/T Classics showed up on the website it was too late to order them. There is much mis-information on the website. I notified Dodge about this many months ago, as I'm sure many others have done. The Dodge rep agreed that there were many things wrong with the site and said he would pass the info along.

#438 ·
It's not just their website--it's Dodge's entire media department. They should all be fired.

They don't get model year brochures out to the dealers sometimes until *after* the model year is already *over* and the next is already in production. This often includes paint chips--so many times you can't even know what the colors will look like before you order.

When they launched the 2011 392 IEs, the order banks had opened, filled, and closed before many dealers even knew anything about it!

The same thing has happened with many of the "special" color runs.

Your best bet is to stay tuned here for info from RS, BB, and a select other few well-informed insiders.

Cool link. It works if you don't specify a credit union. I like how it shows the sales codes. Seems to be missing some things though, like the Electronic Convenience Group. Nice to have an alternative to the Dodge site. Doesn't seem to work with Google Chrome. Had to use IE.
