General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
Brenda Priddy spotted this Dodge Challenger driving down the highway. She wrote:
Major changes are expected to the Challenger lineup for the 2015 model year including renaming the car Barracuda. But in the meantime and based on these photos a mid-cycle facelift will be taking place very shortly. These two SRT8 Challengers were very camera shy and we could hardly see through their dark bar, but looking close it appears the updated Challenger may be getting more a a Charger-type/Dodge-styled grille (the center-vertical bar is visible through the camouflage), updated headlamps and a larger air intake down low.
Of interest, one might see an SRT Barracuda in the new grille treatment. While most of the car is pure 2012 Challenger, dropping the two large parking lights (or moving them behind the grille) and possibly, its hard to tell underneath the grille seems to result in a 1970 Barracuda-styled grille.

That's a rather dubious comment, since the SRT Barracuda is supposed to be a different platform, smaller size, etc as Chrysler transitions away from the Daimler based LX/LY/LC platform.
I'm pretty suspect, since one of their other Barracuda related pages kept getting revised w/ strikeout type and pasting in other info that was sketchy at best, to describe it and some out-of-date information as well.

I have no Photoshop skills... but I did a 30-second chop job on the photo above using MS Paint.
Not bad. Can you take out the center silver trim piece and add smaller driving lights behind the grille? It looks like this spy shot has smaller driving lights behind the grille just inside the headlights.
