250 Challengers listed at the unofficial registry - what next?

Today it looks like http://www.dodgechallengerregistry.com hit 250 registered cars. Slowly but surely we're seeing people put their cars up for everyone to see

Since it looks like everyone likes it, I figured I'd ask what additional features and/or changes you'd like to see. Any comments?

Sure, being brutally honest with you, so don't take it wrong. Whats the point of registering at another website and then registering my car? Ive seen them before and never bothered, since this is a limited run car, maybe you could tell us why anyone would bother. Thanks in advance!

Venthos --

In case you don't already know, the registry you have created and the associated interest of people registering their cars is the coolest thing since sliced bread. As the owner of a rare car, I wanted to create a registry but never got the idea off the ground. How long has the registry been going? A month? And we already have over 250 cars? Fabulous. Cheers to you for your efforts. I'm over the top excited about my Challenger and love seeing others who may have same for their cars. Keep up the great work, it is appreciated. You'll see it as the registry continues to grow.

Question: Is the registry dynamic or must all changes occur via edit from the user who created the account?

This is a great registry, and I'm certain the other forums would love to have one. Thanks Venthos !!

The point is that most forum members (including myself) are interested at seeing where these cars are throughout the world and the trends on what people are ordering. It's cool to sort by State and see who else in the area also owns a Challenger. In the past (like on ChallengerTalk.com's sister site, ChargerForums.com) there's tons of threads created with attempts to track certain Charger trims like the Daytonas and Bees. I've never liked that method of using a forum thread so I decided to make a site for us. It becomes pretty cool for limited edition models where they have a numbered plaque so you can see what numbers have owners.

I guess when it comes down to it there's little personal benefit if you list your car there, so if you're looking for personal gain from the registry there's not much for you there. But, the benefit to the community is showing where all the cars are and allowing us to see a bigger picture.

Since I don't have access to VINvision or any of Chrysler's utilities there's really nothing I can do to automate the update of things like Order Status and all that. The registry is entirely driven by the individuals who post their cars there and relies on them keeping it up-to-date. So the registry is only as useful as how active the community is. Definitely wish I could automate it, though!

Thanks for the support, guys. I agree it's exciting to see the "HERE!" status start building up for the '08s.
