Has anyone had the 30,000 mile service done to their 09 RT? What did they do and how much did it cost?

It's close to $100 for the spark plugs if you get the NGK. I had to get them from Mopar because I couldn't find any parts stores that had NGK for the HEMI. Do it yourself thought because my dealership wanted to charge $150 just to change them that was after I already bought the plugs.

It's coming up very soon.

I'm kinda dreading it. My mom has a Dodge minivan and her 30k service was $900!

Don't waste your money on those contrived dealer services.... If you notice what the dealer claims to do, 80% of it is "check" this or that. (which means they do nothing) Then they replace a couple fluids. $40 worth of repair for $900.

Just look to see what isn't marked as "check" this - and then get it priced at a local shop or do it yourself. Some of the BS can be skipped - like replacing the brake fluid. That's not based on mileage really, but instead based on time. It picks up water naturally over time.. but should be able to go 4-5 years at least.
etc.

True but I picked up the unlimited powertrain warranty, and I don't want to give them another reason to get out of honoring it.

According to my books, 30k service is Inspect brake hoses and lines, adjust parking brake, change oil and filter, change manual trans fluid (severe service), replace air filter, rotate tires, replace spark plugs (calls for 2.2 hours, $150 sounds cheap at a dealer for labor) Probably somewhere around $550-$600 with parts and labor for regular service.

....prices are going to vary by dealership and in most cases will include additional services that are not in the factory schedule. Check the schedule and determine which services that you can/can't do yourself and/or ones that you would rather have the dealer do due to warranty concerns. Get a quote based on the specific work you want done. ....not some overpriced "30k package" the dealer is trying to pitch.
