Agreed, with the parameters stated, 820hp is a bit of a stretch. I did not see the show. If the Hemi was an A-990, 13to1, cross-ram, and fitted with "current" light weight pistons and rods, the heads and intake will flow the numbers required for high rpm and this is where we make the big numbers. If the engine was a "street" Hemi configuration, then the 820 number is highly unlikely.

They said nothing about alchohol. The owner of the Hemi was there during filming and he had a s**t eathing grin on his face when they tested his engine. I'm sure he knew somthing he wasn't tellin'. It would be easy enough to check for stock head castings, but not so easy to check for porting.

The narrator claimed it was a 1966 street model with 10.25:1 compression. However, I am sure they took the owner's word for all this. In all likelyhood, he had lighted the rotating assembly and ported everything he could port. That would be my guess, especiall considering the smirk on his face.
