Thanks for all the input fellas. When my dealer contact told me that the estimated ship date was 1/18, he also said that even though VOTS shows production scheduled, it is more than likely on the assembly line being built already.

Well if that's the case, then what good is VOTS for vehicle tracking? Will they at least notify the dealer when the car has been shipped?

You will get it. I ordered mine July 4th weekend and picked it up until the 2nd week in October. They didn't start building until around July 30th. Be patient my Challenger friend.

VOT is really worthless....Your dealer has real time tracking that can give accurate info...

Wow... That's a long time to wait bud! 14 weeks?!?

If I had been in your shoes, I probably would have gotten fed up and cancelled.

I mean there's an exact replica of my car at Steve White Motors right now on the lot. I could feasibly take a 1 hour flight to pick it up and drive it 6 hours back home. But it wouldn't have my name on the window sticker and I would have to spend some more $$$ to make the trip. As I said in my first post, the delay is both a good thing and a bad thing, so I'm doing my best to take it as a good thing. But at the same time, I would like to see some evidence of progress.

Apparently there was a "mixup" with my order and they assigned my name to the wrong car initially and I ended up getting a new VIN to track the car with after they sorted it out. And supposedly now my order is marked as a "Priority 1 Sold Order." The dealer didn't have many details but it was likely something to do with holiday parties in Brampton.

Mostly just venting, but if you have experienced this before, how long did it finally take?

1/08 to 11/08 I think that adds up to eleven months.....................

Ask your Dealer to check the real time tracking and give you a printout.

Yesterday I got an email that said my car was in paint. Today I got one that said the car shipped! I hope that the paint was dry.

ordered cars are always last....

the hard part will be when its finally complete and sits in a parking lot for 5 weeks

then mine took 2 weeks just to ship by train 2 States(i could have pushed it by hand faster than they could ship from Canada to WI)

there's plenty of complaints about ordered cars....your issue is just beginning

wait until your car sits for 3-5 weeks while dealer ordered cars ship in 1 week
