I WANT ONE and will be trading in my '06 Daytona which is paid in full
Gosh, I wonder what the resale value of a '06 Daytona will be in a year or two?
You may just be better off keeping your Daytona and leaving it out of the purchase of your new Challenger. I figure that you'll regret "giving" away your prized possession for a "few pennies".
But this is coming from a guy who just has too many cars; because I refuse to "give them away".

As of right now, Kelly Blue Book has it going for just over $19,000 if I sell it on my own. Trade is $16,000 give or take. So even if I get $13,000 for it, with my deposit, I will be good for $38,000 down. NADA shows a $16,000 trade and a $19,000 retail value on my car. So it's basically the same value wise. But I will be shopping around and my starting offer for my Daytona will be $14,000 and I'll work from there with negotiations. I'll take lower but I better get an extended warranty thrown in at no cost on the Challenger. My car only has 57,000 miles on it and is mint. I know dealers have to make a profit too but that doesnt mean I have to get robbed by them. I'd keep the car if I had room but I dont. The car I have now isnt even garage kept, it sits in the driveway 24/7 and is my daily driver. What has kept my mileage so low is that I work so close to home. My commute is less than 5 miles round trip everyday and I have a motorcycle I ride in the warmer months.

Any decent car these days has a standard 70k\7 year warranty...even the super-charged 560+Hp Camaro\V\Vett have it. Kinda one of the reasons the V seemed more logical vs a SRT-8 2013, yet. 0-60 3.9, Chargers are sold here for 45-50k...spend 10-12k more...you get ridiculous service, a total car package (all oil changes, full synthentic of course) and if you leave your vehicle for more than 2-3 hours, they let you take a courtesy vehicle out, something oh so rare with Dodge unless you are content with a 15k Chrysler 200 vs a SRT Challenger. Just...sayin...you compare to the current American market in high performance...mopar is lacking..in mopar..and back-up-ability warranty-wise, you literally have to pray you find a good "dealer".
All you guys that are lining up to get a 6.2 better get your deposit in NOW. Serious rumor has it that a TOTAL of 1500 supercharged Challengers will be built...including both sticks and autos. Ain't gonna be many to go around.
That cant be true. 1500 supercharged challengers......they would go for 10k over MSRP. Try to find a Pontiac G8 GXP....Impossible and there was about 1830 units made. I have a standing Carmax search for a GXP. If I find a low miles one, im snaching it up for future sale.

Just a word to the wise...
Thats what I heard to, but the person in the know (resumespeed) said that number is way off, there will be "A LOT more than that"

OK, I have just one question. How can Dodge justify all the R&D $ for a one model year limited production car?
Regardless of what I may think sometimes, I am not the center of the universe. I really hate to think that Dodge is going through all this trouble for a one year run.

Say it aint so!
They wouldn't do such a low number or for only one year. It just costs way to much to get something like this engineered, tested, and approved.

As I've previously stated in an earlier THREAD, the Challenger is good to 2015. Whether that means 2015MY or 2015 (2016MY) isn't clearly stated yet. What was is new Charger in 2016MY and 300 in 2017MY. Therefore the 6.2L SC Hellcat isn't just a one year engine. It should be available in these SRT models too.
