Agreed. The technology on the ZL1 is definitely a bit beyond the current technology in the Chrysler/SRT realm. Now, if we could only change that...

None the less. For what is produced, SRT is not a bad product as there are lots of cost cutting measures GM does in their vehicles.

Yeah, but we're talking street cars here. We're not really gonna run laps, we're gonna go from one stop light to another. When we see the results of our superchared 6.2...then we'll finally have some even ground.
The Cuda... we'll also see....all 3 will be loosing some weight... I look forward to seeing them all!
With every passing day though...I'd like to get a GT500... just having trouble buying a car that litters the streets around here.

SRT8s cars are those kind of cars where the whole is more than the sum of its parts. They are especially great for people who do like a big car with tons of room...

SRT 6.2L HellCat Hemi to start production in April

Another source confirms the "Hellcat" becoming available this Spring.
Now, If only ResumeSpeed could chime in with his "professional" opinion.

Taking bets on the HP and TQ numbers it puts out.................

Im going out on a limb here and saying 600 hp and 580 tq.

Still wondering if the 6.2L will have an auto trans option.

RS has already stated that production on the 2014 6.2 LC Challenger will start mid year...sometime around July. He has a good source, and never found him to be wrong, so its safe to say thats when it'll start.

Tech, your numbers are probably spot on. I don't see them pushing this thing that much. 9PSI max... so 600 sounds right... Why not 10 or 11 for 650..or something? Honestly though... I'd be content with 600, but if its less that would be a slap in the face IMO.

I'll play:

600hp 580 tq for the 6 speed/ 570hp 545 Tq for the auto if they make it with the auto (see GT-500)

Doubt they get too close to the Vipers 650

You should start this in it's own thread for kicks.
