Re: 6.6 Hemi Challenger ?

I hope GM-Ford-Mopar speed and horsepower war from the 60's comes back again.. Mopar had the superior cars back then, and all they need now is bringing back the Challenger with tire smoking power in low budget..
I'm saying again: 5.7 for less than 20K a.k.a. Mustang's V6 killer
6.1 for 25k: GT's killer
6.6 for less than 35 gees: all ponies' killer

Well, I don't think that matters too much to DCX, as Dr. Z does not want to be behind a Stang or a ' Maro !

Re: 6.6 Hemi Challenger ?

With all this horsepower being tossed around...does somebody really need a 500hp car as a daily driver?

More HP = more $ at the pump
More HP = more insurance cost
More HP = less economy

Don't get me wrong...I LOVE power but then there is overkill too. If DCX can sell it great for them but it will be a small margain of sales for those high end cars...especially if gas prices keep sky rocketing...DAMN GREEDY OIL COMPANY'S!!!

Who said anything about a daily driver! :-) I'm looking for a fair weather car and will probably put 4000 miles a year MAX since there aren't many fair weather days here in upstate, NY. I say, bring on the power, suck up the gas, I won't use much anyway. :-)

I agree, however, that lower HP/easier on gas versions would be a good idea for those who want it.

Well if everyone has 500 HP I would want 550.

Re: 6.6 Hemi Challenger ?

cars like this are not ment for the ecomony concience (sp). they are made for real gear heads that want to be top dog on there block. these cars are about pure driving emotion and the nastalgia that comes with them..if someone is concerned about economy and mpg and stuff they should get a honda cuz they obviously don't get what these babies are about..that being said there is still nothin wrong with a 6 banger for those who want the look, but there won't be a wanna be challenger or camaro in my driveway.
